Kelly Cheung and Chilam Cheung to Collaborate in New TVB Drama

Kelly Cheung (張曦雯) was named My Favorite TVB Actress (Malaysia) at the 2024 TVB Anniversary Awards. Since then, she has been continuously working on back-to-back dramas. After wrapping up Imitating Life <模仿人生> with Anita Yuen (袁詠儀), she is now filming a medical drama alongside Moses Chan (陳豪) and Moon Lau (劉佩玥).

Playing a frank and innocent real estate agent in the drama, Kelly admitted she shares her character’s lack of knowledge about the industry and is not good at numbers. She leaves her property investments to her parents and relies on her boyfriend for financial knowledge, “I previously left cryptocurrency investments to my boyfriend because he used to work in banking.” When asked if this means she is investing in him, she laughed and said she is more realistic, preferring to earn money from work and save it in the bank.

Next, Kelly will start filming a new drama tentatively titled Radiant City <璀璨之城>, produced by Joe Chan (陳維冠), and will be working with Anita’s husband, Chilam Cheung (張智霖), and Ron Ng (吳卓羲) for the first time. The cast underwent changes, replacing Katy Kung (龔嘉欣), Rosina Lam (林夏薇), and Mandy Wong (黃智雯) with Kelly and Samantha Ko (高海寧) as female leads. Since Samantha has just started filming The Queen of News 2 <新聞女王2 >, Radiant City is expected to begin filming in late May at the earliest.

This drama will mark Chilam’s return to a TVB drama 12 years after Triumph in the Skies II <衝上雲霄II >. Filming will take place in Macau. Chilam and Ron will play brothers from a wealthy family, while Kelly and Samantha will portray good friends entangled in romantic relationships with both men. Eventually, the women become rivals after falling for the same person.

Chilam confirmed he accepted the drama, but remained tight lipped about the details. Samantha added she had heard about the upcoming drama but does not know the schedule yet, “I need to finish filming The Queen of News 2 first.”
