Leila Tong’s Reveals Photo of Son

Leila Tong Ning gave birth to a 7.7 pound baby boy via Caesarean section the day before. As a first time mother, Leila shared the good news on her blog and thanked everyone for their blessings! Due to her Caesarean section, Leila could not leave her bed yet. However, she felt very excited and wanted her son to grow up healthy and happy.

As to whether she will breastfeed her son, Leila will consult with her doctor first. Stressing that she will bear full responsibilities as a mother, Leila will not think about immediate weight loss. She will wait until after her first month of postpartum recovery.

  4. Why did she have Caesarean section? Was she having complications in the birth?

      1. I don’t think it is just Hk women, a lot of women do because they don’t want to go through the pain of actual childbirth. My mom was talking to me about that last night and says that women are just scared of the pains of childbirth. However, the aftermath of C-section is really painful and you get a big scar too, so she doesn’t understand why a lot of women prefer that these days. Also, she thought it was ridiculous of women who have a C-section just to pick the time of birth for their kids. It is only good if you give birth naturally. However, if you purposely try to pick the time and date by having a C-section, you wonder how valid is it???

    1. Asians traditionally prefer caesarean. Moreover doctors in Asia recommends that, obviously more profit. Malaysia especially.

      1. Really?? I am not sure if that is true since my mom and many of my relatives are from the old world and are more traditional than ever do not prefer C-sections. They only resort to C-sections as a last result. But hey maybe that is just my family only…

      2. C section is supposed to be last resort but in SEA, I should be specific, C section is the norm.

  5. is Caesarean section the same as giving birth naturally!? either way painful is it not!?

    1. C-section is different because they cut open your stomach. It doesn’t hurt while giving birth since you’re drugged, but it takes longer to heal after, leaving a scar. It will hurt while the cut heals. Giving birth naturally only hurts during the procedure of giving birth.

  6. I must say, the baby’s features is very very beautiful.
