Shu Qi Celebrates 8 Years of Marriage

Eight years ago on April 16, actress Shu Qi (舒淇) and actor-director Stephen Fung (馮德倫) surprised with news of their wedding after four years of dating, which coincided with her 48th birthday then. The two had held a spontaneous photoshoot on set in Prague where he was directing The Adventurers <俠盜聯盟>, with Shu Qi wearing just a simple H&M gown paired with sneakers.

Invited Celebrity Guests
Contrary to their signature low-profile style, the pair recently honored their 8th year anniversary by inviting industry friends and celebrities to the celebration held in Taipei!

On April 19, Shu Qi updated with happy photos of their “wedding dinner”, and wrote sweetly, “Thank you for all the years of understanding and companionship, thanks for everything you’ve arranged today, there’s too much I want to say. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you~ Happy wedding anniversary, Love U,”

In a rare display of affection, she also shared photos of them locking lips. More photos of guests who graced the celebration then emerged on social media, including Taiwanese heiress Aimee Sun (孫芸芸), Kelly Lin (林熙蕾), Chang Chen (張震), Jam Hsiao (蕭敬騰), Cherry Yang (楊謹華) and others, who gave their blessings to the pair.

Traditional Chinese costumes appeared to be the dress code for the night, as Shu Qi was decked out in a red and gold Qun Gwa and Stephen, in a Tang suit. The couple even did a champagne pouring ceremony and had a commemorative cake with fondant figurines of themselves and their two cats.

A member of Cantopop duo Dry, Stephen showcased his guitar skills and performed on stage, and later even got Shu Qi to join in as they sang rock band Extreme’s “More than Words” together, while Golden Melody prince Jam Hsiao jumped in to harmonise with guests such as Kenny Bee (鍾鎮濤), and Kelly’s husband Chris Young (Yang Chen 楊晨).

  1. Congrats to Shu Qi and Stephen Fung. If a celebrity marriage last two years, that alone is a milestone.
There was a patern at this celebration. Shu Shi and Stephen, Jam and Summer, Chris Young and Kelly Lin. Chris Wu and Kana Chou should have been there, to keep the trendy patern going.
