Bosco Wong and Eliza Sam at “Mr. & Mrs. Bean” Costume Fitting

Starring Michelle Yim (米雪), Bosco Wong (黃宗澤), Nancy Wu (胡定欣), and Eliza Sam (岑麗香), TVB’s upcoming modern comedy drama about coffee, Mr. & Mrs. Bean <貓屎媽媽>, held its costume fitting press conference at TVB Studios on May 16, 2013. Produced by Nelson Cheung (張乾文), Mr. & Mrs. Bean is projected to have 20 episodes, with plans to air sometime around the Lunar months of 2014.

Other starring cast members include Koo Ming Wah (古明華), Vincent Wong (王浩信), Miki Yeung (楊愛瑾), Mimi Choo (朱咪咪), May Chan (小寶), Teresa Ha (夏萍), Du Yange (杜燕歌), Cheung Wing Hong (張頴康), and HotCha member Regen Cheung (張惠雅), whose last television drama with TVB was 2010’s The Season of Fate <五味人生>.

Multiple media outlets reported that Bosco and Eliza will portray a couple. In earlier reports, Vincent and Nancy Wu (胡定欣), both stars of Gun Metal Grey <刑警>, were speculated to portray a couple once again for Mr. & Mrs. Bean, but Vincent revealed at the press conference that he will be portraying a couple with May Chan instead. He will also have a “wet kiss” scene with Mimi.

Bosco, who recently returned from mainland China after shooting the Di Renjie prequel,Young Sherlock <少年神探狄仁杰>, was asked if he plans to renew his management contract with TVB. Bosco’s Lives of Omission <潛行狙擊> costar, Micheal Tse (謝天華), had expressed his disinterest in renewing his TVB contract; even Fala Chen (陳法拉) disclosed that she will leave TVB’s management.

“I’m still here!” exclaimed Bosco. “But don’t make it sound like I’m TVB’s last support. There are still many others. When people leave, others will naturally come in.” He revealed that he still has a long contract with TVB and will not be leaving the station anytime soon.

As for his relationship line with Eliza in the drama, Bosco said, “I hope we don’t get rumors! I’m scared! I just want to happily and peacefully do my job!” Eliza added, “I hope we won’t, but the audience is smart. They know what’s real and what’s not.”

Bosco refused to respond to rumors regarding Myolie Wu’s (胡杏兒) alleged sex tape, saying, “I will not respond to matters that aren’t true.”

Mr. & Mrs. Bean will begin principal photography in a few days.

  1. nancy will still be a couple with vincent! details down here from hyn5 blog!

    – Nancy Wu will play So Mei (蘇眉), To Yin Gor’s second wife. She is a good person who has not done anything to hurt anyone. Michelle Yim originally hired her to tutor her two daughters, but she ends up developing a relationship with Michelle’s husband. She is Eliza’s stepmother, but they have a good relationship. She and Vincent Wong grew up together, and they have a good relationship; there will be a scene where she helps him zip up his pants. She will have a romantic storyline with Vincent.

    – Eliza will play Michelle’s daughter.

    – Vincent will have a romantic storyline with May Chan and Nancy. He will have rather intense scenes with Mimi Chu, and there will also be French kissing.

    – Regen Cheung will play Michelle’s daughter.

    1. don’t know why i’m increasingly dislike eliza. hope nancy will have more screentime than this overexposed newbie! nancy’s storyline and role already sound more challenging and interesting than eliza who looks like the typical goody two shoes

      1. yeah I understand, sometimes you just dont like someone haha. I am fine with Eliza Sam. I think she has a sweet face. But there are a couple actresses out there I dont lile. So yeah. I totally got what you were saying.

    2. tvb should promote nancy and vincent! they are underpromoted because tvb busy promoting aimee, eliza, jason chan, moses and wayne! their roles and storyline already sound more interesting than bosco and eliza’s roles!

    3. there’s also a video interview in that link. seems like nancy and michelle will dominate the show. bettet this than let eliza leading! not yet!

    4. Mimi Chu will play Nancy’s mother and Koo Ming Wah will play Nancy’s brother.

      1. great! that means nancy will have more screentime and more connection with most of the cast even if tvb label bosco and eliza as the lead! support nancy!

why don’t bosco and eliza leave tvb and let the deserving people such as nancy, elaine and kenneth get promoted

      2. the connections of the cast based on the plot:

        bosco – eliza, his son
eliza – michelle, nancy, regen, to yin gor
nancy – michelle, nancy, regen, to yin gor, vincent, may chan, mimi chu, koo ming wah
michelle – eliza, nancy, regen, to yin gor
vincent – nancy, mimi chu, may chan

        nancy wins 😀

      3. @sel

Why should Eliza leave?! She just got started!!

      4. The thing is Bosco is a better actor than Kenneth, Nancy and Elaine I’m not saying they’re bad but Bosco is just more versatile compared to other male leads, he’s necessary in TVB as for Eliza she’s not a bad actress at all

      5. No chance will TVB let go Eliza. TVB will milk her to death.

    5. “as for Eliza she’s not a bad actress at all”

      You must be kidding me

      1. Compared to other newbies, I’ve def seen worst

      2. Don’t want to list any names as that may cause more controversy, but among those who debuted around the same time she did she’s more bearable onscreen than others.

      3. Lol you mean Christine? They’re both the same I think.

She being more bearable doesn’t mean that she deserves to be propelled to the top this quick. Have our standards drop so low that we label bad actors/actresses “good” because they’re bearable? Tvb needs a serious makeover.

      4. great news. the producer confirmed that this series is WOMEN ORIENTED means that nancy and michelle will be sharing leads! the story will be revolving around nancy’s family’s coffee house and the latest tvb magazine propped nancy vs michelle storyline first!

that means although bosco is first lead and pairing with eliza, that doesn’t mean eliza is first lead since the story will focus on nancy and michelle’s situation of sharing a husband! so don’t worry all of you eliza is not leading over nancy! our fear can be put down now. serves eliza right, she’s not enough to be a lead actress yet and no way she can lead over nancy!

      5. eliza is better than christine, but in no way is tvb should give her any leading above those who can act thousand times better and has been waiting longer in tvb such as nancy, elaine and mandy! thankfully seems like eliza won’t lead over nancy here! 🙂

      6. There are a few besides her I didn’t say she deserves to be lead I just said there are worst than her who could of taken the role which would get a lot more hate than this.

      7. Besides its not her fault she’s casted as lead over some others, it’s the producers decision.

  2. Bosco is good in comedy. He did well on this year Chinese new year movie ” I love Hong Kong 2013″
Glad to see Kong Ming Wah on this drama,

    1. His best work so far is in the movie Love In Time, but this is a mix of comedy and angst (and WTF ending).

I’m amused by Det Di, Regen Cheung and Miki Yeung involving in this drama.

      1. nobody cares about dying and crappy hk movies

      2. Who in the world are these “Det Di, Regen Cheung and Miki Yeung” ? Never heard of them.

  3. Sorry Bosco this type of lame low budget drama and plain Joe character won’t be able to make you win anything at the TVB awards. Sorry Eliza your acting is still weak, I don’t have faith in you taking the baton as the first lead actress.

  4. Bosco’s career has pretty much been marred by crappy TV dramas and crappy productions.

“Love in Time” was boring and when you compare it to the romcoms Taiwan and China brings out, then this was extra cringeworthy

    1. I have nothing good to say about “I love HK 2013” either.

They were just coasting in these two movies. Everyone were.

      1. Eric Tsang is a crap producer.

Chow Yuk Ming has flying scripts.
Eric Tsang has no script. Must be hell.

  5. Have to give some props to both the responses of Bosco and Eliza. Golden line by Bosco: “I hope we don’t get rumors! I’m scared! I just want to happily and peacefully do my job!”. Just got to love itZ:D

  6. I’m just going to be watching this drama when it airs to see Eliza more. I already adore Eliza as an actress after seeing her in Divas in Distress and Raymond Lam’s mini movie. Such a cute and joyful girl. ^_^

    1. this is interesting… besides that, the pictures are also the same.

    2. Ohhhh…someone’s obviously copying somebody.

      To the court-mobile!

    3. I am just curious since jaynestars is one of the more popular spots for these kinds of news.

  7. I agree with Akira. I have always wondered about this.
If this happened at my university, it’s plagiarism.
