Benz Hui Unintentionally Reveals His Big Mansion
Best known for playing supporting roles, Hong Kong retired actor Benz Hui (許紹雄) has moved to Singapore following his retirement. However, with his daughter, Charmaine Hui (許惠菁) in Hong Kong, Benz Hui recently returned to the city to be for his family and uploaded a YouTube video where he accidentally showed off his 1,000-square-foot mansion.
In the video, fans can see that the mansion is predominately painted white. The spacious living room features audio equipment, is personalized with wooden cabinets filled with collectibles. The mansion is believed to have multiple floors since a staircase was in view.
While Benz and Charmaine interacted with each other, their kitchen is shown to have a marbled island countertop with dark cabinets. The father-daughter duo was busy preparing dinner and had a heart0warming conversation. Benz was in charge of steaming custard eggs while Charmaine was in charge of stir-frying prawns. When helpers entered the kitchen to help out and proves, fans expressed their envy over Benz’s luxurious mansion and his comfortable life.
Benz invited his friends such as Eileen Yeow (姚瑩瑩) and Miss Hong Kong 1996 runner-up Fei Wong (王菲) for dinner. Everyone had a great time as they enjoyed a delicious meal while catching up with each other.
Fans are not surprised that Benz has an enviable lifestyle given his impressive family background. Benz’s ancestry can be traced to Xu Baiting (許拜庭), one of the four biggest s trader in Guangzhou, and Benz’s great-grandfather was Xu Yingkui (許應騤), a high-ranking official and close advisor to Empress Dowager Cixi. Furthermore, Benz’s great-uncle was Hsu Chung Chih (許崇智), a founding member of Kuomingtang and a confidant of Sun Yat Sen (孫中山). Givien Benz’s family histoy and lifestyle, it is no wonder that he is nicknamed the “invisible tycoon.”
