Charlie Young and Khoo Shao Tze’s Wedding in Singapore

After experiencing 19 years together, 39 year-old Charlie Young (楊采妮) and 43 year-old Khoo Shao Tze (邱韶智) finally tied the knot on November 2, 2013. Having previously faced bumps in their relationship that had led to a break-up of 7 years, the couple was extremely grateful they are fated to be together after all. Approximately spending $2 million SGD, their luxurious angelic themed wedding ceremony took place at the W Singapore Sensota Cove Hotel.

For the grand night, Charlie chose to wear a stunning Romona Keveza fishtail wedding dress. Her husband gifted her a 2-carat diamond engagement ring, and the couple shot several sweet photos on a large patio at the hotel. A beautiful white 5-level wedding cake added to the grand atmosphere. One portion of the wedding included having Charlie and Shao Tze serve tea to their parents, which is part of the Chinese tradition. Unfortunately, Charlie’s father was unable to attend the ceremony since he earlier suffered from a stroke, but had sent them his blessings beforehand.

Friends who attended the wedding include Anita Yuen (袁詠儀), Valen Hsu (許茹芸), Angelica Lee (李心潔), and Aaron Kwok’s (郭富城) manager, Siu Mei. Anita purchased a lovely crystal figurine in Paris as a gift for the newlywed couple. Other close friends of Charlie made her a video slideshow consisting of old clips and photos. Charlie expressed in happiness, “Many friends from all over the world flew here to attend our wedding! I cried really easily, because there were so many touching moments!”

Charlie announced she would leave plans for a baby up to fate. When asked for advice on how to boost chances of having a baby, Anita Yuen exclaimed, “Exercise more!” She laughed and said Charlie would definitely be a better wife than she is.

In the near future, Charlie and Shao Tze will also organize dinners with family and friends in Taiwan and Hong Kong.
