Cindy Au Continues to Pursue Education and New Licensure

Since her divorce from Roger Kwok (郭晋安), Cindy Au (歐倩怡) has focused on her professional life and her workload has ballooned. Recently, Cindy appeared at a press conference and shared about her latest endeavors.

Already in her second year hosting HOY TV’s Health Concern Group (健康關注組), Cindy made sure not to neglect continuing her educational pursuits. Off camera, the 45-year-old still maintains her status as a student and learner, and is currently studying to prepare for an upcoming exam. Despite her background in nutrition, Cindy shared that her new licensure endeavor is in a completely different field. She teased, “I’ll tell everyone what it is after I’ve successfully passed the license exam.” While she has not ruled out further academic pursuits in nutrition, she admitted there are some constraints and considerations, “Unfortunately, due to time and money constraints, I’m trying to branch out and explore other areas for now.”

As for rumors that her on-screen comeback has not been paying the bills, Cindy laughed it off, “I still need to keep working hard and stock up for a rainy day.”

On the home front, Cindy’s son is currently studying in England. Without any upcoming local holidays there, he will not be returning to Hong Kong for Lunar New Year and Cindy has no plans to fly out either. Despite the distance, Cindy remains upbeat, saying she and her son interact like friends now. “We talk on WhatsApp all the time. it’s a whole new dynamic.”
