Roger Kwok Coaches Hilary Chong in Tennis
Roger Kwok (郭晉安) announced in May last year that he had ended his 18-year marriage with Cindy Au (歐倩怡). Their two children now live with Roger. Although he was criticized by his ex-wife for turning a blind eye in tough times, Roger has since focused on his work. In December, the company he co-founded with his sister Gammy Kwok (郭致因) was successfully listed, becoming the second-largest IPO and most subscribed new stock in history.
Now single, Roger’s close relationship with 23-year-old Miss Hong Kong winner Hilary Chong (莊子璇) has sparked discussion. He not only gave her flowers for her birthday but has also been privately coaching her in tennis. They got along well after filming drama Golden Forest <金式森林>.
Despite all this, Roger has not neglected his passion for acting. He recently filmed a video revealing that he was suffering from insomnia. With dark eye bags, Roger appeared visibly tired after a full day of filming for a drama in China. He was still in good spirits and shared that he has to finish reading a thick stack of scripts before he can go to sleep. He revealed that he often has to go straight into early morning shifts even after overnight shoots and this has thrown off his biological clock and made it hard to fall asleep. “The more I try to sleep, the more I can’t. So I really understand how painful insomnia can be.”
