Koni Lui is Not Ready to Date After Divorce

Gaining popularity from their on-screen pairing in the TVB sitcom Come Home Love <愛‧回家之開心速遞>, rumors surfaced that Koni Lui (呂慧儀) and Stanley Cheung (張景淳) are currently dating. Although they have denied the relationship several times, the duo continue to maintain a close friendship and have been spotted spending time together on numerous occasions.

Speculation about their relationship status was further fueled recently when Koni uploaded a photo of herself that was taken by Stanley. Many felt that the photo was snapped beautifully from the perspective of a “boyfriend.”

Koni accompanied the photo with an expressive caption, “I have never not believed in love. However, life will tell you that there are a lot of things more important than romantic love, and you only have yourself to face and deal with these issues. Without hope, there is no disappointment. I don’t hope for romantic love, and I don’t easily believe in promises. I have learned this lesson on my own. Do your own thing. If you understand this, great. If you don’t, then there is no need to say anymore.”

Although the 37-year-old single mom emphasized that she is not giving up on love, many felt that her post was filled with despair. Divorced from Dickson Wong (黃文迪) in 2019, it appears that Koni may not feel ready to move on to a new relationship. However, her rumored boyfriend may understand her at a level no one else does. Simply leaving a sunshine emoji in response to Koni’s post, Stanley seems to be silently supporting and encouraging her.
