Miss Hong Kong Contestant Louisa Mak is Netizens’ Number One
To create more hype for the upcoming 2015 Miss Hong Kong Pageant, On.cc released a poll on its official Facebook page allowing users to vote for their favourite contestant. As of August 5, contestant #1 Louisa Mak (麥明詩) maintains her position as number one in terms of netizen popularity, garnering 39% of total picks.
Following Louisa is contestant #10 Kristi Chan (陳靜儀), who is said to closely resemble Rebecca Zhu (朱晨麗). Kristi comes in second place with 21% of the total votes, and is also a netizen favourite. Although contestant #8 Michelle Ching (程莉欣) was earlier in third place, her spot was soon replaced by contestant #3 Ann Lo (羅丹虹), who garnered 7.6% of the votes. Closely following Ann in fourth place is contestant #12 Sunshine Chu (朱嘉莉) with 7.3% of the votes.
The current top three contestants in the online poll also received much praise and supportive comments from netizens. To Louisa, netizens wrote, “If you know how to pick, of course you’d pick contestant #1!” One netizen also pointed out that Louisa resembles actress Leila Tong (唐寧).
Others praised Kristi for her sweet and natural looks. They wrote, “Sweet smile and deserves to receive more points”, “I have faith in you, you’ll be able to do it for sure, add oil!”, and “She exhibits a very natural feeling.” In terms of Ann, one netizen commented, “Graceful and elegant, but her hairstyle has room for improvement. She can become even more charming!”
