Stars of “Doom at Your Service” Share Most Memorable Scenes

Starring Park Bo Young and Seo In Guk, South Korean drama Doom at Your Service captured fans’ hearts with its romantic plot about an ordinary woman who only has three months left to live and makes a wish to end the world. While the drama aired its finale on June 29, the stars reflected on their roles and shared their most memorable scenes.

Park Bo Young Remembers Getting Close to Myul Mang

In the final minutes of episode 5, immortal Myul Mang (Seo In Guk) shared his frustration with Tak Dong Kyung (Park Bo Young) that cultural traditions are similar to human lives because they both are fragile and end with time. Seeing Myul Mang’s reaction, Tak Dong Kyung offered her own perspective and compared the end of life to a bright supernova star.

Park Bo Young liked how Tak Dong Kyung warmly comforted Myul Mang as she finally saw his humanity. The actress liked how the scene brought their characters closer.

Seo In Guk’s Memorable Scene in the Rain

In episode 6, Dong Kyung had a bad day at work only for the day to worsen when she gets drenched in the rain. He comforted her by grabbing her hands and running in the rain without any worries in the world. Myul Mang asked Tak Dong Kyung, “What’s the big deal about the rain? Who cares about getting wet?”

Seo In Gul thought that the scene was beautifully filmed with well-written lines. While the scene was meant to comfort, Seo In Guk wanted his character’s words to reach the audience who may also be having a hard time, because the gloomy weather will always pass.

Lee Soo Hyuk’s Memorable Kiss Scene

Lee Soo Hyuk’s most memorable scene is when his character Cha Joo Ik shared a kiss with Na Ji Na (Shin Do Hyun). At that moment, Na Ji Na was waiting in the rain in front of her first love’s house. Since Na Ji Na did not have an umbrella, Cha Joo Ik came to her rescue by handing her an umbrella and giving her a kiss.

Lee Soo Hyuk confessed that the kiss scene made a strong impression, because it was the first time the two characters met and it was love at first sight.

Kang Tae Oh’s Confession to His First Love

In episode 14, Lee Hyun Kyu (Kang Tae Oh) and Na Ji Na visited their alma mater and reminisced about their past. The two characters had an emotional moment as Lee Hyun Kyu truthfully revealed the reasons why he avoided his problems.

Kang Tae Oh felt that the scene showcased the maturity of his character by finally mustering the courage to be truthful to his first love.

Shin Do Hyun’s Memorable Scene in Episode 10

Shin Do Hyuun’s most memorable scenes involved Tak Dong Kyung admitting her true feelings to Myul Mang at the beach. As Tak Dong Kyung’s life is coming to an end, she finally expressed her desire to continue living and released the pent-up emotions that she had been holding. During the emotional scene, Myul Mang embraced Tak Dong Kyung and confessed that he also wanted to remain by her side.

Shin Do Hyun was touched by how Tak Dong Kyung found her strength to be honest with herself despite the unfortunate circumstances in her life. The actress was also impressed by Park Bo Young’s acting in drawing the audience’s sympathy for the character.
