Promoted as TVB Anniversary drama, Come On, Cousin <老表，你好Hea!> is the sister production of 2013’s highly successful Inbound Troubles <老表，你好嘢!>. Roger Kwok (郭晉安), Joey Meng (萬綺雯), May Chan (陳嘉佳), Kaki Leung (梁嘉琪), and Tommy Wong (黃光亮) gathered together to promote the series and interact with fans while distributing prizes.
Joey Meng Supports Charmaine Sheh for TV Queen
The organizers of the event presented Roger and Joey with an extra-long large pillow that had a printed image of a woman’s legs, causing Roger and Joey to burst into laughter. Joey signed the pillow and said she will give it as a present to a lucky audience member when the drama premieres.
Asked if the legs on the pillow were her own, Joey said, “I don’t know! I took many photos like these before. I need to take a better look.” Would her husband, Chan Sap Sam (陳十三), be jealous that a lucky fan would be able to hug her legs to sleep every night? “Of course not! He gets to see me every night!”
With the TVB Anniversary Awards drawing nearer, Joey was asked if she has confidence to win the Best Actress award. Joey said competing for TV Queen has never came across her mind, and added that Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼) has a good chance to win.
Roger Kwok Anxious About Reviews
Roger Kwok admitted that the success of Inbound Troubles made him more anxious to see the feedback for Come On, Cousin. Nonetheless, Roger expressed his confidence in the new series and pointed out that both Kenneth Ma (馬國明) and (李思捷) worked very hard in their guest appearances. Roger joked that if Come On, Cousin reaches 40 points, he will add a new baby to his family.
With two dramas released this year, it is very likely that Roger will be one of the finalists for TVB Best Actor. His last drama, Black Heart White Soul <忠奸人>, was well-received critically.
