Charmaine Sheh, Kenneth Ma Return in “A Time of Love 2”

Starring Charmaine Sheh (佘诗曼), Kenneth Ma (马国明), Priscilla Wong (黄翠如), Pakho Chau (周柏豪) and Tony Hung (洪永城), TVB’s A Time of Love 2 <爱情来的时候2> has commenced filming.  Set to be released near Valentine’s Day, the sequel will continue to be a patchwork of separate love stories, but will also pick up from where A Time of Love left off in terms of plot.

One of the main subplots in A Time of Love 2 revolves around the love story between Kenneth and Charmaine’s characters. The theme continues to be the subversion of gender norms, in a relationship where Charmaine’s character is the superior and Kenneth’s character is the subordinate. The relationship, while unconventional, continues to remain smooth-sailing as the drama follows the couple to Germany.

Many of the couple’s scenes will be filmed on-location in Germany itself, and Charmaine will even be required to speak some dialogue in German. Despite her past experience living in a German-speaking region in Switzerland, she needed some practice before she could speak German fluently again.

Always seeing Charmaine as his idol, Kenneth admitted that he is pleased to be able to work with her again after the positive reception from their last collaboration in A Time of Love. He then joked that he would be speaking to the producers and requesting the addition of physically intimate scenes.

A Time of Love 2 will also feature a love story between Priscilla and Pakho, who will be playing childhood friends-turned-sweethearts. Their scenes will be filmed in Taiwan and involve several Taiwanese actors and actresses.

  1. KM is getting very creepy with his “intimate” requests. He always said he wants kiss this one, asks to touchy feely with that co-starts. Lol. Dude, stop it. It’s not funny anymore, not that it ever truly was in the first place.

Wait, so they consider female boss and a male subordinate couple is “unconventional”? Wow, talk about 1800s mindset…. I found their love story the least interesting and most boring of the 4 stories; even though they’re suppose to be “comedy.” Actually there wasn’t even any romance chemistry. The script was too shallow. The other 3 had better development. So hopefully this 2nd one will show more depth in this so-called “unconventional” love xD

  2. PAKHO????? I’m personally his fan but his acting…..should pull off a decent job…I hope.
