Cecilia Cheung’s Poor Conduct Angers Film Producer Charles Heung

After being absent from the big screens since her appearance in 2012’s Dangerous Liaisons <危險關係>, Cecilia Cheung (張栢芝) finally received the opportunity to film one of the biggest movies for 2016 – Feng Shen Bang 3D <3D封神榜>. Unfortunately, Cecilia’s diva attitude and poor work ethics angered film producer Charles Heung (向華強) and his wife Tiffany Chan (陳嵐), who ousted Cecilia from the film and will blacklist her from future projects.

Cecilia often demanded her scenes to be filmed first when she arrived on the set of Feng Shen Bang 3D. One time when Louis Koo (古天樂) and Huang Xiaoming (黃曉明) were scheduled to film a scene first, Cecilia became extremely rowdy on set and demanded to know why she had to wait. Cecilia scolded the production staff heatedly, and exploded into profanities. On the last day that Cecilia was on the set, she did not emerge from the lounge room when she was asked to film.

Although Cecilia appeared to get along with Huang Xiaoming, she asked the director on the side, “Why are you not filming my scenes [first]? Is it because Huang Xiaoming is more popular?”

Tiffany Blasts Cecilia’s Conduct

Tiffany was Cecilia’s ex-manager and had regarded her as her own daughter. Although Tiffany was not on set to personally witness Cecilia’s diva attitude, the crew reported back to her. Tiffany said, “I respect the company’s decision to not use her anymore, but it hurts. I trusted the wrong person – I gave her a chance, but she didn’t treasure it.”

As to reports that Cecilia’s limbs were bleeding from the numerous wirework scenes in the movie, Tiffany said that injuries are inevitable but there was medical personnel on the set to treat Cecilia.

Denying that she is using the incident to gain publicity for Feng Shen Bang 3D, Tiffany said, “It’s impossible. I don’t need her for publicity. Everyone cautioned me that Cecilia is box office poison, but I thought everything would be fine with such a big cast. I was scolded by many people when I decided to cast her!”

Cecilia Issues Apology and Refund Check

Cecilia dismissed the reports as a “misunderstanding”, and wrote in her statement, “I deeply respect Mr. and Mrs. Heung’s decision. Since Mrs. Heung often says she sees me as a daughter, I hope they will not be so angry. I’m grateful for their kindness towards me and will never forget it in this lifetime. They will always remain as my family in my heart. Perhaps it is a misunderstanding that I can no longer partake in this film. I hope the crew continues to work hard. At the same time, I hope that there are no more needless speculations. Thanks.”

Although Cecilia had initially declined to be paid for her role as Nezha, Tiffany had issued her a check for $1.9 million HKD on the side. Cecilia refunded the check since she is no longer involved in Feng Shen Bang 3D.

Wen Zhang Steps in for Role

Wen Zhang (文章) was the original choice for playing Nezha, but could not commit due to schedule clashes. As Feng Shen Bang 3D has been experiencing production delays, and Cecilia is now ousted from the movie, Wen Zhang was once again called in for the role.

what is she thinking burning her absolute last bridge? already she is known as box office poison and johnnie to has explicitly said he doesn’t dare to use her despite a lack of actresses. after this fiasco, she is probably finished in hk.

Remember how Tiffany “defended” her during the Nicholas and Faye’s saga, this is a real joke.

She doesn’t need to worry. Mediacorp and Malaysia would welcome castoffs from HK

I feel for her, she obviously has some mental issues. It’s not easy to be living with mental issues in the public eye and Chinese people are rarely sympathetic of those who are indeed suffering from such ailments. Work issues aside, I hope she gets the help and support she needs, after all there are two young boys who depend on her to be healthy.

    Cecilia has issues here.

Lol Wen Zhang was the mainland celeb who went sown the drain after cheating his wife? This production loves problematic people

Well, Wen Zhang may be a cheating jerk in real life but he has had no prior complaints about his professionalism. Plus he gets on well with HXM.

Whereas, Cecelia has had numerous instances where her work attitude has caused problems. And people around her have given her many chances over and over again. I think Cecelia can act well if she wants to, but she needs to fix up her social image and emotional balance first.

This project was supposed to be Mrs Heung’s way of supporting her and Cecelia chucks back the favour in her face just like that. I feel so bad for Mrs Heung now.

Anyhow, I still prefer male roles to be played by male actors. I am not sexist but I have never quite accepted Cecelia Yip Tung playing Madam White Snake’s lover even though the series was popular. It just seems awfully weird to me to see it on screen.

Charles Heung is an alleged dragonhead whereas Cecilia’s dad is a lowly triad. Still not a smart move by her. If the allegations are true then she should thank the heavens that the only thing he did was blacklist her. She could end up much worse.

That’s so sad Cecelia is not going to be in the film. I always liked her in movies. People shouldn’t put the responsibility on her if the movie ‘flop’. She can’t help it if the storyline is bad and audience can’t see pass her personal life and judge her for it.
Tiffany should keep her comments to herself. No need to kick a person when she is down. To say that she regards her as her own daughter is total BS. Would she say the same think about her son if he had attitude or poor work ethic on a set?

Regarding her son, it’s so obvious that this film’s intention is to raise his visibility. Mom & dad got these big names signed up, in hopes of a big box office draw.

I just finished watching the Chinese entertainment news about Cecilia’s professional conduct on YouTube. If it is to be taken taken seriously, then she seems to be targetting three Yang Guo’s: Andy, Louis and HXM. LOL!
