Linda Chung Supports Philip Ng’s “Sifu vs. Vampire”

Although always handling her seven-year romance with Philip Ng (伍允龍) in a low-key manner, Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣) surprisingly appeared at the premiere of Philip’s new movie Sifu vs. Vampire <天師鬥殭屍> earlier.

Asked if the couple was using the occasion to officially announce their relationship, Linda responded, “My friend invited me to come watch the movie, that’s why I’m here today. Philip invited me because I just finished filming a series and I have a lot of free time. Being an artiste relies on connections so it’s always either you supporting me, or I’m supporting you. This is the first premiere I’ve been to in the last six years. I’ll be busy later so I won’t have time to watch the movie. I’ll probably have to wait another six years before going to another premiere.”

Admitting that they are only “good friends”, Linda and Philip appeared very stiff and awkward when taking pictures together. However, when Linda stepped away from Philip, she became more relaxed and smiled easily for the cameras.

Philip on Working with Yuan Biao

With his martial arts background, Philip is used to physically demanding roles, but he found the comedic scenes in Sifu vs. Vampire to be refreshing. He was especially thrilled to work with martial arts star Yuen Biao (元彪), as well as Ronald Cheng (鄭中基) and Wong Jing (王晶).

Although he watched vampire movies to prepare for his role, Philip revealed his nervousness when he was working with Yuen Biao. “It was a dream come true. I met this senior a long time ago and he had previously recommended me for other film projects. Working with him definitely had pressure. He is very seasoned, and he is a great martial artist and actor.”

  1. Ooo I wanna watch this not because of Philip but because of Ronald Cheng!!!

    1. ruco: richer, hotter, more famous
Phillips: poorer, ugly protruding chin & dorky close-set eyes, less famous

  2. Not the popular answer here but I think Linda should try to a mom role – as in being a mom to a young child. She never comes off as modern and sassy with great love life to me, neither can she pull off super innocent wide girly roles anymore. I think mom to young child would be best for her.
