“A Business Proposal” Cast Exchange First Impressions

Airing its finale this week, A Business Proposal is expected to break its own viewership ratings after climbing from its 4.9 percent premiere ratings to 11.6 percent in episode 10. The success is attributed to the chemistry of its cast: Ahn Hyo Seop, Kim Se Jeong, Seol In Ah, and Kim Min Gue.

Sharing first impressions of each other, Se Jeong described Hyo Seop, “Initially, I thought he was a very serious person because he didn’t talk much. The more I got to know him, I found that he is actually very funny. He would often do the thigh clap on set, which is a combination of clapping hands and thighs. He is really still an elementary student at heart.”

Min Gue made everyone chuckle when he thought Hyo Seop was a “boring person,” but he now “laughs at his every word.”

Meanwhile, Hyo Seop described Se Jeong as resembling “politely smiling emoji” at first, but thinks she is now the “smiling with teeth emoji” because she is always so bright and cheerful. In Ah also agreed as she said, “We first met in School 2017; she is very friendly and down-to-earth.”

On the other hand, In Ah found Min Gue to not “seem too interesting in the beginning, but very fun and knowledgeable now. He’s like a health expert.” Hyo Seob teased, “I used to like his cave-like voice which is deep and charismatic, but I don’t really know now.”

Min Gue shared that he thought In Ah looked cool with a beautiful voice.  With a helpless sigh, he continued, “she is so mischievous–she would run around here and there and sing a weird song while filming a kiss scene.” Overhearing his words, In Ah started belting out the song from Japanese TV series Crayon Shin-chan.

With their fun interactions and complementary personalities, the cast’s lively dynamics are very similar to their characters in the drama. Given the drama’s laidback entertainment, many viewers are reluctant to see it conclude on April 5.
