Attending the blessing ceremony for her new series First Lady in a Dangerous City <危城 First Lady> (tentative), Adia Chan (陳松伶) spoke about the challenges of playing her new detective role. With her co-star, Ben Wong (黃智賢), Adia revealed that she’ll be playing a female adaptation of the famous detective Sherlock Holmes. Speaking with reporters with a mustache intact, Adia was careful with her facial expressions to avoid her mustache from falling off.
Adia expressed, “Today’s outfit look was inspired by Charlie Chaplin. In the series, I’ll be playing the female version of Sherlock Holmes whose main duty is to solve crime. I have never played this type of character before; there are so many lines to memorize! I thought it was rather fun working on The No No Girl <全職沒女> but I’m feeling the stress and seriousness this time. I don’t know how to make it better.”
Pointing to the moustache on her face, Adia added, “I’m very not used to speaking, the moustache is so hard! I think I have to go home and practice first.”
First Lady in a Dangerous City will be Adia and Ben’s first drama together. The pair had previously hosted children’s afternoon program, Flash Fax <閃電傳真機> almost a decade ago.
Also taking part in the series will be Jeannie Chan (陳瀅), Alice Chan (陳煒), and the newly engaged couple, Chan Wing Chun (陳榮峻) and Helen Ng (吳香倫).
