Accidentally injuring his head on the set of the drama, the 29 year-old reassures fans that he is recovering well.

Sustaining a fall on the set of The Exorcist’s Meter 2.0 <降魔的2.0> while suspended on wires last Saturday, actor Hubert Wu (胡鴻鈞) has been in the hospital for a week. He was reportedly conveyed to the hospital in an ambulance while still conscious and was later sighted in a wheelchair there.

Head of Hubert’s album company Star Dream Entertainment, Herman Ho (何哲圖), has avoided talking about the matter, while the drama’s producer has yet to respond officially.

Latest IG Update: Recovery on Track

On May 25, Hubert updated his Instagram with a picture of himself in a hospital bed looking in good spirits. He wrote, “Sorry for not being able to respond to media friends and everyone’s calls and messages. There was an accident during filming. I am grateful that my recovery is on track this week. For the time being I have to continue resting well, and hope to be able to return to work as soon as possible. Sorry to all the production units who were affected, and once again thank you for all your concern and well wishes.”

Artistes including Nancy Wu (胡定欣) , Benjamin Yuen ( 袁偉豪 ) and Sharon Chan (陳敏之) replied with their well wishes for the actor, as did many netizens.

News Was Deliberately Sealed?

Previously, TVB Deputy General Manager in Program and Production, Felix To (杜之克), had commented, “The company films so many programs a day and there are bound to be small mishaps. This time it’s not a serious matter, and we would not treat it as a publicity stunt, nor did we intentionally hide the news.” He added that the artiste department will give a uniform response, and admitted that the drama’s shooting progress will be more or less affected.

TVB Executive Virgina Lok (樂易玲) had said, “Hubert injured his head while filming an action scene for The Exorcist’s Meter 2.0, and has undergone detailed scans and checks at the hospital. He is fine but still needs to stay for a period of rest. Thank you everyone for your concern.”
