Lai Lok Yi Produces Yan Chai Charity Show

As part of his TVB contract renewal, Lai Lok Yi (黎諾懿) asked for more opportunities to produce shows. After producing four variety shows, the 42-year-old is in charge of producing this year’s Yan Chai Charity Show <慈善星輝仁濟夜>, which will be his first time handling a live event.

This year’s show will also be different from previous fundraising galas, as drama Heart of Yan Chai <仁濟心> will be turned into a stage play. For this part of the program, he invited Winki Lai, a graduate of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, to be the director. Lok Yi also called in favors to good friends Nancy Wu (胡定欣) and Ali Lee (李佳芯) and invited them to sing. “It’s really hard to invite two Best Actress winners! They can both sing, so the performance will be quite special.”

Due to previous shaky live performances, the media has nicknamed Ali as “Devil Sounds”. Reporters asked if he will be getting her to do an audio test first, Lok Yi joked that he can also be classified in the same category so he does not dare criticize.
