Zhou Xun Hopes to Marry Archie Kao This Year
It was just last week when actress Zhou Xun (周迅) publicly announced her relationship with boyfriend, Archie Kao (高聖遠). Although they have been dating for less than a year, Zhou Xun is deeply in love with the 44-year-old Chinese-American actor. Asked about speculations that they will get married at the end of 2014, Zhou Xun said, “Hopefully [this will happen]!”
Zhou Xun met Archie for the first time at a mutual friend’s banquet. Right away, they hit it off and had wonderful first impressions of each other. Archie did not feel pressure in dating one of China’s most successful actresses. He said, “In the beginning [of the relationship], we did not google each other’s [backgrounds]. Now that I know, I’m very proud of her.”
Due to their busy schedules, they had limited time in seeing each other. Zhou Xun explained that even though they are not always by each other’s side, it is enough that they use their hearts to appreciate each other. Revealing that there is no pressure on either of them now that they have announced their relationship, both hope to tie the knot by then end of the year despite busy schedules.
Archie Signs With Zhou Xun’s Agency
Already a known face in the United States for his roles in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and Chicago P.D, Archie reportedly signed with Zhou Xun’s management company to enter the Asian market. Zhou Xun’s management company confirmed the news and released an official statement that they will now act on behalf of Archie’s activities in the Asia Pacific region.
