Wong Cho Lam Portrays Villain in “Inbound Troubles 2”

The long-awaited sister production to Wong Cho Lam’s (王祖藍) Inbound Troubles <老表,你好嘢!> series has finally begun its principal photography. Inbound Troubles 2 <老表,你好Hea!> brings back the main cast members of Inbound Troubles, 2013’s second highest-rated television drama of the year, beaten only by Triumph in the Skies 2 <衝上雲霄II>.

Starring Roger Kwok (郭晉安), Joey Meng (萬綺雯), Ivana Wong (王菀之), Louis Cheung (張繼聰), Tommy Wong (黃光亮), Mimi Choo (朱咪咪), Bob Lam (林盛斌), Angela Tong (湯盈盈), May Chan (小寶), and Wong Cho Lam, who serves as the series’ scriptwriter, Inbound Troubles 2 is a comedy series that largely takes place inside an old building, where the rich and the poor were unwillingly forced to mingle with each other. According to the promoters, while the first series delved on the cultural differences between Mainland China and Hong Kong, the second series will focus on the jarring disparity between the rich and the poor.

Wong Cho Lam will portray the son of a wealthy businessman. Towards the end of the series, Wong Cho Lam revealed that his character will fight for his family’s inheritance, announcing that his character will be the series’ main villain.

“I’ve noticed that many people have taken part in dramas that were about fighting for family inheritance, and I wanted to join in the fun,” explained Cho Lam. “That’s why I gave this role to myself.” Cho Lam’s role is obnoxiously evil, however, in the final episodes, Cho Lam’s character will realize that he was being played with all along.

Bob Lam and May Chan will be involved in a romantic relationship. Cho Lam revealed that the couple will have many kissing scenes in the show, and Cho Lam joked that he added too much lovey-dovey scenes for the onscreen couple.

Cho Lam also mentioned that his character will not be involved in any romance in the series. “There’s already too many relationship lines in the series.”

Cho Lam’s real life girlfriend, Leanne Li (李亞男), will be guest star in the series, portraying a famous but arrogant television star. In addition, veteran singers Rita Carpio (韋以珊), Lee Lai Ha (李麗霞), and Hins Cheung (張敬軒), will also be making guest appearances.

  1. As long as he doesn’t do the stupid accent and annoying catchphrases, I’ll give him another chance, but I can only take so much of his “character acting” before I swear off watching anything else he is in.

I want to see him do some serious drama roles before I totally write him off as being a one trick pony that only knows how to do one type of character in everything he does.

  2. Actually I think that cho lam is good looking in the pic above. He’s not THAT ugly. He may not be as good looking as Louis koo, Raymond lam etc. and if he weren’t celeb you wouldn’t call him ugly if u saw him as an random person in street.?
