Vincent Wong, Selena Li Look Forward to Break After “Flat Slave”
The cast of TVB drama, Flat Slave <樓奴>, gathered for a banquet to celebrate the completion of filming. Vincent Wong (王浩信), Selena Li (李詩韻), and Eliza Sam (岑麗香) chipped in for the bill to treat the entire front and backstage crew.
Selena Li to Shed Vulgar Mannerism
Selena Li intends on taking a one month vacation. She joked, “My character in Flat Slave is extremely rough. My friends have all been complaining that I’ve become more rough.” Selena said that she will need time to shed off the crude habits inherited from her character. When teased whether her boyfriend has been complaining, Selena laughed, “No, but of course he’ll want me to be more gentle and sophisticated!”
Vincent Squeezes Two Surgeries into One
Vincent Wong will immediately begin shooting new TVB drama, With or Without You <東坡家事>, after a few days rest. During his short break, Vincent will be receiving oral surgery to better align his teeth. Vincent is combining the surgery, which is normally administered in two parts, into one session since he will not be able to take off time later.
Regarding recent news about Tomorrow is Another Day <再戰明天> co-star Lawrence Ng’s (吳啓華) divorce, Vincent stated that he was not aware of Lawrence’s family troubles, as Lawrence did not appear to be unhappy during filming.
Eliza Sam Wants to Go on Vacation
After completing the drama, Eliza Sam is also taking a vacation to relax. “I might go back to Vancouver to visit my family, or maybe I’ll go on a trip somewhere with my friends.” Due to her hectic schedule, Eliza has not had time to connect with her friends and felt that they have grown distant. “I have to set aside some time to spend with friends in order to maintain friendships.”

His teeth was distracting, but it also was kind of his trademark? I think? haa
oral surgery to align teeth is big thing. I kinda understand why he would want the oral surgery.

Agree with you that he looks like Joe Ma at certain angle. When I first saw Vincent in the series I thought both of them are related.
I think what he has is overbite. Man with overbite normally has smaller lower jaw, so it doesn’t look very masculine or no jaw line.

Yawn! Boring 2nd line cast! Miss the good old days of TVB with Bosco Kevin Steven. The only thing to look fwd to these days is Ruco. Vincent looks like a dead ringer for old horse face Joe Ma here.
Joe Ma is ok…still dashing enough to play SDU.
Next generation to come up will be Vincent, Him, Ruco, Bosco. Steven Ma acceptable.

Vincent is fine and much better than Him Law, Tony Hung. Raymond have left. Bosco and Kevin have sort of graduated and are filming more in China. Steven have left. Ron is demoted. Yes Ruco is the best now but we also need the younger gen of Vincent and Sammy. No not Him Law or Tony Hung.
Honestly i think I’d rather have Tony. Never liked Vincent since he debuted. I thought he looked awkward and didn’t fit those rich guy roles he’s always playing.
Saying about young generation, Vincent, Him, Tony, Oscar, Sammy, etc. are almost 30 or over 30. Not really young. Btw, Matthew Ko after leaving TVB, is enjoying his so much better salary in China. He even has lead role in a big Chinese series. It might lead to the leave of a new bunch of artists very soon.
Matthew Ko doesn’t even act good or good looking. He looks like wood onscreen and he recites his dialogue like a robot. I think he has connection in mainland.
Connection or not, we cant tell. We only see in the fact that he is having better career there after years without breakthrough in TVB. And it gives other dreams of leaving.
I notice that some leaving with better career while some other basically disappear. It is up to the fate.
You can’t really expect much TVB needs to promote them since all the rest has jumped ship!
True. If tvb wasn’t in dire need of actors, people like Vincent Sammy Oscar would still be at the bottom of the ladder playing supporting roles. It’s kind of unfair for those who had to struggle for much longer in the past to get to where they are today (the luckier ones who eventually make it). People like Vincent have it easy compared to their predecessors. 3

Normally I don’t care of Vincent too much, but in Tomorrow is another day”, he performs quite well. I hope he should get a supporting role award in the upcoming TVB anniversary award ceremony. Good luck to him. 🙂

Watch the ‘Cold Mountain’ series now. I was surprised at Selena Li’s acting. She is usually very ladylike and feminine, but, in ‘Cold Mountain’ her Tou Fah is rough. She even changed the tone of her voice to sound more uncouth. This is the first time I see her change her tone to suit her character. I see it as a great improvement in acting. She’s convincing as an uneducated village woman.
She acted more like a thirteen dots 十三点 too OTT. Then the other character she played was just too full of evil smirks. Methinks she tries too hard.
