TVB artists, 30-year-old Yoyo Chen (陳自瑤) and 28-year-old Vincent Wong (王浩信), have become proud parents of a beautiful 6 lb 2 oz baby girl! Yesterday, Yoyo gave birth at 9 AM via Caesearan section. A recent ultrasound exam had revealed that the baby’s umbilical cord was entangled around her neck, thus the doctor advised Yoyo to give birth two weeks in advance. Fortunately, the baby arrived safe and was a healthy weight!

The baby’s name will be decided upon after consulting with a feng shui master. Vincent said that the baby resembled both father and mother. Vincent laughed, “The baby has large eyes and thick hair, just like her mother! Her ears look like mine! Also, she has long arms and legs like me!”

Nervous Father and Mother

Both Yoyo and Vincent were nervous in the hospital delivery room. Vincent revealed that Yoyo was normally very nervous while receiving medical shots.  His hands shook when he cut his daughter’s umbilical cord at the wondorous sight. 

Both their hands were shaking while Yoyo was in labor. When their daughter was born, Vincent felt an inexplicable sense of joy and shed manly tears. Vincent proudly captured the first moments of their daughter’s life with a camera in the delivery room. “Watching the birth of my daughter, my fatherly love rushed out!”

Vincent added, “My wife’s hands were shaking throughout labor. I comforted her repeatedly.” Asked how he managed to soothe Yoyo’s nervousness, Vincent said humorously, “I plan to give her a new car! It will be useful in driving our daughter to school.”

Cherishing time together with his newborn daughter and wife, Vincent has alerted TVB producers that he wished to set aside some time off if possible. He will be filming a new drama in May. Vincent will help out with changing diapers and feeding the baby, although he admitted that Yoyo was more skilled in childcare.

Asked if he wished to have another child, Vincent said, “Seeing the extent of Yoyo’s pain during childbirth, I do not want her to endure it again. But if we can afford to have another child, my wife and I would love to do so!”
