Kelly Cheung is Gaining More Fame
In Life on the Line <跳躍生命線), Kelly Cheung (張曦雯) stars as the main female lead, but viewers are claiming her to have the most useless role in the drama. Alongside co-stars Joe Ma (馬德鐘), Moon Lau (劉佩玥), and Matthew Ho (何廣沛), Life on the Line heavily focuses on paramedics, yet Kelly’s character is a car mechanic and part-time ballet teacher.
When asked about the criticism regarding her role, she responded, “I didn’t really pay attention to this. I’m just really happy to have this opportunity and I get to work alongside some very talented male leads like Joe Ma. From my few years of filming, I have really depended on my seniors for mentorship, practice, and moral support. I’m really learning a lot!”
Kelly never thought she would enter the entertainment industry. She started modeling for fun and money, and thought that entering a beauty pageant would help with her job search. However after winning Miss Chinese International 212, Kelly didn’t receive a lot of filming opportunities until the past two years, in which she appeared in Law dis-Order <律政強人> and Exorcist’s Meter <降魔的番外篇 – 首部曲> . This year, aside from Life on the Line, Kelly will also appear in Golden Night Building <金宵大廈>, Big White Duel <白色強人>, and Solutionist <解決師>.
During her five years in the industry, there have been a lot of negative news surrounding her interests in rich men. However, those news never affected her. Kelly responded, “I don’t know if it is the stigma against the industry, but I like to depend on myself instead of others.” In terms of financials, she has taken on various events and hosting opportunities to support herself.
In terms of her love life, the single actress said, “I have met a local man, but our sense of humor is too different. I would say something funny and he wouldn’t get it, and he would tell me a Stephen Chow (周星馳) joke, and I wouldn’t understand so there was no chemistry!”

Kelly is bland and shouldn’t have been leading. She seems to be in the same mould to Crystal Fung but Crystal showed much more talent in Apple Colada. Moon certainly canshould be leading this drama. Her bubbly charisma reminds me of Tavia during the early stages of her career
i’m 100% sure that moon lau is the main female lead for this drama! don’t understand why the media keeps saying its kelly just because her role is dating joe ma. i think kelly is a very good host but her acting isn’t particularly good, she’s just pretty. her role in this drama is also very unnecessary so i’m not a big fan of her right now.

It’s not how you rank it. Being a couple with the main actor Joe makes Kelly the main lead in one way of another because it gives her exposure. Can’t be 3rd lead at all. It can happen though where an actress can couple with lead but not seem to be the main lead like in Overachievers where Maggie did not have many scenes but linked up with Wayne late on…
