Stanley Cheung Caught in Love Triangle with Hana Kuk and Koni Lui?

TVB actor Stanley Cheung is said to be two-timing Koni Lui and Hana Kuk.

A popular onscreen pair on the long-running sitcom Come Home Love <愛‧回家之開心速遞>, Stanley Cheung (張景淳) and Koni Lui (呂慧儀) were rumored to be dating, and was spotted watching a film together at Cyberport Broadway Theatre, with Stanley sending the 36-year-old single mom back to her Hong Kong Gold Coast residence and staying for three hours thereafter.

Adding to rumors swirling between the two co-stars, it was discovered that Stanley’s rumored girlfriend Hana Kuk (菊梓喬) had unfollowed him on social media, leading netizens to speculate on the bizarre relationship between the trio.

38-year-old Stanley has been in the industry for 16 years. With his well-to-do family background, he made his debut by being part of the since-disbanded boy group Cheers. In 2008, Stanley attended the 22nd TVB artiste training class, whose students also include Mandy Wong (黃智雯) and Angel Chiang (蔣家旻). Viewers only got to know him from his role as “Ka Ming” 2011’s When Heaven Burns <天與地>, and his recent performance as “Gong Ye” in Come Home Love successfully cementing viewers’ impressions.

Stanley and Hana’s romance is said to be an open secret in the industry, with hints of their relationship scattered throughout their individual social media photos, including couple’s watches and matching handphone cases.

Though Stanley and Hana have been suspected to be dating after being spotted by reporters going home together after the movies, Stanley clarified later that they are only good friends and neighbors. Despite stressing that they had merely remained friends since knowing each other before becoming celebrities, the two remain closely linked together.

Two-timing Accusations

With their rumors swirling, Koni and Stanley have tried to keep a low profile, avoiding being seen in photos together even at co-star Lisa Lau’s (劉思希) recent graduation ceremony, which celebrated the latter completing her two-year EMBA program.

Reacting to talk that he is two-timing, Stanley reiterated that both Hana and Koni are “good friends and filming partners”, and that he has not overstepped the borders of friendship. He expressed wishes that the matter can quiet down and hopes his responses would not affect anyone else.

When spotted hanging out with Stanley one night in July, Koni denied any special ties between them, “The cast of Come Home Love are all brothers and sisters. We care for and help one another.”
