Louis Koo, Jackson Wang Make Appearances at Sammi Cheng’s Concert

After 13 shows in the Hong Kong Coliseum, Sammi Cheng’s (鄭秀文) concert wrapped up with Louis Koo (古天樂) and GOT7‘s Jackson Wang (王嘉爾) as guest performers. Sammi’s concert has already featured many of her good friends from the industry including Joyce Cheng (鄭欣宜), Kelly Chen (陳慧琳), and Kay Tse (謝安琪).

When Sammi sang “Silent Understanding” <默契>, she invited her good friend and Ultimate Song Chart Awards Presentation’s My Favorite Male Singer, Louis Koo. He entered the stage with both arms up as the crowd cheered loudly for the incredible singing duo combination.

The pair had such amazing chemistry and even joked constantly on stage. Sammi compared Louis to toilet paper, which she deemed as very important after going to the bathroom. Louis responded, “Tonight you finish your bathroom business, so it is a happy ending!”

While Sammi was changing, Louis sang “Boyfriend” <男朋友>for the audience and even shook hands with his excited fans. He said, “I don’t know how to sing. Please forgive me if I sound bad.”

Aside from Louis, Jackson Wang also performed on stage with Sammi singing “Creo en Mi”.

  1. I can never understand what the heck they are wearing during concerts???? That figure oh gosh… Lol..Louis Koo really can not sing. Jackson Wang is cute thou.

  2. Her outfit in the first video with louis koo is very disturbing. Almost half of her ass is showing…
She should fire her stylist lol

    1. @aktf it’s called showing off her impressive “butt cheeks” lol. Haha that many girls younger than her can’t compete lo

  3. These HK concerts are always weird as F with the odd fits and the random guest appearances. I’ll never pay money to watch them sing. Maybe Jacky Cheung.

    1. @anon Yea, the fashion choices for the concerts nowadays are more weird and oddball than anything else. I miss the concerts from the old days, which usually went the “elegant” and “sophisticated” route rather than the “gawky” and “gimmicky” route that define most of today’s concerts.

The guest appearances thing has always been a “staple” of these concerts and is meant to give the main artist an extended break to rest or change. With that said though, sometimes it makes sense to have guest appearances and it’s even expected and welcomed (like with an artist who isn’t truly a singer holding a special performance or the trend a few years ago for composers and lyricists to hold concerts featuring their works, in which case they have to invite guests since they aren’t singers themselves). Sometimes it’s not necessary though, at least in my opinion.

But yea, sometimes the performances aren’t always worth the astronomical ticket prices…the only artist I would ever pay money to see (and always the most expensive ticket option —wouldn’t settle for anything less, lol) is Jacky Cheung, who just so happens to be the only HK artist who never has guests at his concerts and always makes sure his fans get their “bang for their buck” by including as many songs in his rundown as possible in an often 3 hour plus jam-packed show (which, to me, is still not enough time, but oh well, lol)…
