Ali Lee on Her Repetitious Days

Ever since actress Ali Lee (李佳芯) finished shooting the upcoming TVB drama Death by Zero <殺手> in December, she has been resting at home and working on her prose poetry, which she plans to release at a book fair this year if possible. Lacking things to do, the 37-year-old writes positive and motivational captions on her recent Instagram posts to remind herself to spend her days happily even if they are repetitive.

She uploaded a photo of herself smiling and captioned it, “Every day has been repetitious. Waking up, eating, writing, eating while writing, eating again, sleeping, and that’s another day. Even if it feels unsatisfying, we still need to spend these days happily.”

In another post, she shared a photo of a small flower growing sturdily between the cracks of the ground. She observed, “Outside this door, there is a strong little life.”

As for her most recent post, she sat in front of a fenced gate with trees thriving in the background. Expressing her desire for normality, she said, “Don’t need to return to the past. Just hoping to recover the simple and everyday life.”

  1. this sounds bad but i am getting used to this whole quarantine situation. other than food is hard to find these days, long lines getting into the market and you may not find what you want, at least i don’t have to wake up at the break of dawn to send my kids to school. i could only imagine it being even easier w/o kids cause at least you could telework.
