Bosco Wong Avoids Awkwardness About Myolie Wu

Filming a Chinese variety show, Bosco Wong (黃宗澤), Ron Ng (吳卓羲), Nancy Wu (胡定欣), and Flora Chan (陳慧珊) were guests on a Triumph in the Skies <衝上雲霄> reunion episode. It has been 22 years since the drama aired, and nostalgia hit when the group appeared onscreen. Bosco, Ron, and Nancy’s interactions were particularly comedic and generated much laughter from the audience.

In one segment, Ron called Francis Ng (吳鎮宇), who starred as the drama’s male lead Samuel Tong on the phone and referred to him as “Brother Sam.” Upon hearing Bosco’s voice, Franci referred to Bosco as “Big Boss,” due to his many successful business ventures. Shocked, Bosco quickly responded, “How am a big boss, Big Brother Sam?” Francis pointed out that Bosco now owns several restaurants and recalled, “When we were filming Triumph in the Skies, he already told me he wanted to open a restaurant.”

Perhaps the highlight of the episode was when Nancy called good friend Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣) on the telephone and revealed to the audience they will be getting together soon. When Bosco asked why he was not invited, Nancy smiled and replied, “Myolie Wu (胡杏兒) will also be there.” Hearing the name of his ex-girlfriend, Bosco broke into a shaking laugh. Avoiding any awkwardness, Bosco added, “No wonder I wasn’t invited.” The audience erupted into laughter.
