“Legend of Zang Hai” Drops Teaser Trailer

Director Zheng Xiaolong (鄭曉龍), best known for legendary palace drama Empresses in the Palace <甄嬛傳>, as well as The Legend of Miyue <芈月传>, and The Story of Xing Fu <幸福到万家>, is back with one of the year’s most anticipated productions — Legend of Zang Hai <藏海傳>, set for a May 18 premiere on Disney+!

Fresh Chemistry, New Sparks

The star-studded cast comprising Xiao Zhan (肖戰), Zhang Jingyi (張婧儀), Zhou Qi (周奇) and Huang Jue (黄覺) with the surprise inclusion of Wallace Chung (钟汉良), Michelle Chen (陈妍希), and Zhang Guoqiang (张国强), saw the drama quickly racking up over 8 million views within 24 hours, with over a million users already subscribed to watch online.

Xiao Zhan’s star appeal is not to be discounted, as his role – demanding in terms of drama genre, and character complexity, has already won affirmation from director Zheng Xiaolong, while also emerging as a hot topic among netizens.

Rising star Zhang Jingyi plays Xiang Antu, a mysterious and intelligent woman with exceptional martial arts skills. Her dynamic interactions with Zang Hai are expected to be a major highlight.

Zhou Qi (周奇), who rose to fame for his role as the underachiever Fang Yifan in A Little Reunion (小欢喜), takes on the role of Zhuang Zhixing, a character who starts off as both rival and ally to Zang Hai. Their evolving relationship — from manipulation to mutual respect — promises to deliver intense drama.

Huang Jue, beloved for his outstanding performances in popular series Reset <开端> and The Long Season <新生>, plays the cold and ruthless military commander Marquis Pingjin.
