“Flying Tigers 3” Releases Trailer

With its upcoming broadcast, Shaw Brothers and Youku’s Flying Tiger 3 <飛虎之壯志英雄> released a new two-minute trailer. The third season will see the return of its iconic cast Michael Miu (苗僑偉), Ron Ng (吳卓羲), and Bosco Wong (黃宗澤) as part of the Special Duties Unit tackling various serious crimes and hostage rescues.

The trailer starts off with a concert hall under the siege of unknown snipers. Michael  is seen chasing gangsters down a main street while they exchange a rainstorm of bullets. The gritty filming style and expansive aerial shots add to the thrilling action scenes involving a bus explosion, a car explosion, and a car falling from a tall building.

Of course, a police drama is not complete without an undercover storyline, and Oscar Leung’s character (梁競徽) is suspected to have a double identity. Joe Ma’s (馬德鐘) character, who started off as a senior inspector has been promoted four levels to superintendent since the first season. The 53-year-old, who looks more youthful than his true age, caught viewers’ attention with his sharper facial features and eye-catching appearance in the trailer.

Flying Tiger is one of Shaw Brothers’ most valuable web drama franchises, and the third installment is expected to perform well in China.

  1. Flying tiger 2 was such a disappointment, I hope this one is much better. Looking forward to it!

    1. I‘ve watched a few episodes now and it is much better than the second one but nothing great so far. The first one is still the best. Jeannie is SUCH a miscast. Her acting is so terrible, she has no chemistry with Bosco but she has so much screen time. I‘d much rather watch Sisley and Elaine.

  2. Wow, Out of the 5 brothers in this serie, Moses is only in his 40s, the rest Michael Miu, Joe Ma & Chan Ka Fai are in their 50s, 60s but Moses looks older than them for some reason lol
