Han So Hee Reflects On Past Scandal, Denies “Transit Love”
Actress Han So Hee has, for the first time, openly shared her candid state of mind regarding the social media controversy that caused a major stir two years ago.
On January 16, Han So Hee met with the media at a café in Seoul, for a press interview in support of her upcoming film Project Y. Directed by Lee Hwan, known for Park Hwa-young and Young Adult Matters, the film tells the story of Mi-seon (played by Han So Hee) and Do-kyung (played by Jeon Jong-seo), two women who dream of turning their lives around in a glamorous city and, when pushed to the brink, take the desperate risk of stealing illicit cash and gold bars.
On Criticism As a Driving Force for Growth
During the interview, Han So Hee spoke frankly about the social media controversy that shook the entertainment industry in early 2024. At the time, she and actor Ryu Jun-yeol publicly confirmed their relationship after being spotted on a date in Hawaii. Shortly after, Ryu’s ex-girlfriend Hyeri posted the words “How interesting” on Instagram, which was widely interpreted as expressing displeasure. This sparked intense public speculation over whether Han So Hee had been involved in any overlap of relationships or “transit love.”
Addressing the issue, Han So Hee said, “What else could I do? I believe I had to accept it. I don’t feel wronged, because at that moment, I acted in what I believed was the best way. As the years go by, I’ve come to realise that I’m not just someone who acts, but also someone who receives public attention. With that comes a sense of duty and responsibility. The parts I need to accept, I must accept them openly.”
She continued her reflection, “Everyone’s thoughts are different, and it’s impossible for everyone to like me. If I keep dwelling on ‘why,’ I don’t think I’ll be able to grow. To some extent, viewing these voices as constructive feedback and accepting them allows them to become a driving force for growth. They help me look at and analyse myself more objectively, and encourage me to be more cautious in the future.”
At the end of the interview, Han So Hee also revealed her most honest wish as an actress, “Even so, to be honest, I still hope that people will like me.”
Project Y is scheduled for release on January 21st.

Isn’t it funny how HSH and her ex have to deny again and again that there was no transit love, when it was later discovered that Hyeri at the moment of a scandal was already dating a guy she met when she was in former relationship. I guess that is why she never came true back then. She is still with the same guy, a choreographer. So bottom line one relationship was destroyed stupidly.
