I think people who jump into relationships really miss a point here. Whether your timeline overlapped with his or her ex or not, that is a question of ethics. Whether that person is even emotionally ready for you or not is a question of emotional health. Can an emotionally unhealthy relationship be a good one? I guess that is when maturity kicks in and you learn. Also, men or women who say “They were already single when I started dating them.” Yes, sweetheart, single for a day or a month after a 3-year relationship ended is not gonna do any party justice.
