Taking advantage of a small break in her schedule, Janine Chang (張鈞甯) returned to Taiwan to spend the holidays with her family. Since work events and meetings with friends quickly filled up her days, the time was not as relaxing as anticipated. She still has a positive outlook and anticipation for love, but does not have any deep desires. Although she will leave it up to fate over marriage, Janine has a strategic vision over her career and there is still a lot she wants to accomplish.
Since establishing her own studio, Janine has been focusing more on production work and assisting a younger generation of artistes who have a passion for performing. “I cannot promise that you will become famous, but we can help you face obstacles and maintain healthy bodies and minds.” The company will also focus on producing original dramas and films in the future. She hopes that she will be able to get the company on a stable track before retiring.
Regarding investments, Janine does not believe in quick money from American or Taiwanese stocks, which can be high risk. She stands by her beliefs that the steadiest form of investments is not just limited to the stock market. She focuses on pharmaceutical companies that are developing drugs for rare diseases, because she believes in their growth potential and the positive effects on society. She also follows companies in the sustainability, energy, and environmental sector.
At 40, Janine realizes the importance of prioritizing her health before she can achieve other dreams. She no longer has the stamina from her 20s and 30s. In the past, she was able to do high intensity training and run for long distances and extended times. Now she has adjusted to run slower and added aerobic or stretching exercises. She couples this with moxibustion, meridian acupoint massages, or gua sha. Even if she only has a couple minutes between filming, she will massage her acupoints. This is especially helpful when she is in the middle of her menstruation cycle. If she has time then, she will take a bath after showering to sweat out the toxins. Breakfast is also a ritual in her life, as she believes eating a good and filling breakfast signifies a beautiful start to the day.
