Janine Chang To Wed Malaysian Director Boyfriend?

Taiwanese actress Janine Chang (張鈞甯) may have found her other half as she and Malaysian director Sam Quah are reportedly looking to get married at the end of the year. 

Having been acting for over 20 years, Janine was often linked with the industry’s heartthrobs. The 41-years-old actress was once rumored to be secretly dating Zhang Han (張翰) and Eddie Peng (彭于晏). Later, Janine was reportedly in a stable relationship with Black and White <痞子英雄> costar Mark Chao (趙又廷). Janine had only admitted to dating CEO Huang Kaiwei (黃凱偉) but the couple ultimately splitted due to a third party.

 Despite the numerous dating rumors, Janine has apparently found love with Malaysian director Sam Quah. The couple previously worked together in 2020’s web series Detective Chinatown <唐人街探案> and 2021’s series Psychologist <女心理師>. An insider reveals that the couple have been in love for many years and are in talks for marriage. The couple has even got Janine’s mother’s approval who reportedly had hefty requirements for her son-in-law.

Janine’s manager, who was quick to shut down Janine’s relationship rumors, did not deny Janine and Sam’s relationship. When reached by the media, Janine’s manager responded, “Janine is currently busy preparing for her new projects. She has her own arrangement for each stage of her life, work and relationships. If there is good news, I will share it with you. Thank you for your concern.” Janine’s manager however added that the actress does not have any plans for major life events and is letting fate take its course. 

Adding to the Janine and Sam’s relationship rumors, Janine was caught off-guard at a promotional event this month. When fellow actress Ivy Chen (陳意涵) reminded Janine that she agreed to tie the knot with Ethan Juan (阮經天) if both of them remains single by the time they are 50-years-old. Janine looked embarrassed and responded, “When the time comes, he will be in a hurry to find a girlfriend because he would be very scared.”

Ethan also responded, “Janine is a demon colleague when she is at work. When she falls in love, she loses her brain. Sometimes I want to slap her [to wake her up].”
