Linda Chung Said Philip Ng is a Suitable Marriage Partner
Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣) has often handled her love life in a low-profile manner. Although rumored with martial arts star, Philip Ng (伍允龍) for 5 years, Linda has never openly acknowledged Philip as her official boyfriend. Contrary to breakup rumors which had surfaced earlier this year, Linda’s relationship with Philip remained strong. Earlier, Philip had also remarked that Linda would attain a score of 110% as an ideal girlfriend. The rumored couple openly praised each other, while Linda admitted that she has even met his parents!
After Linda and Philip’s secret dating photos were exposed online in January, their relationship began to slowly surface. However, Linda was not yet ready to fully disclose her love life publicly. Although many TVB artists admited their dating relationships recently, Linda was concerned that the greater public scrutiny may result in negative gossip. “If the public reaction were positive, that would be great. But if there is a lack of public support, it will lead to troublesome consequences. It takes me a long time to warm up to someone, requiring knowing the person for several years before beginning a relationship.”
Allegedly dating for since 2007, Linda was asked whether it was the proper time to publicly reveal her relationship with Philip. Linda replied, “Five years only mark the amount of time that we have known each other!”
Despite not granting Philip the status of being her official boyfriend, Linda openly complimented his good traits. Linda said, “Although he has a rough physical appearance, he is well-mannered, patient, and attentive.” Stating in the past that she dated with the desire to eventually get married, Linda will carefully observe the person to ensure compatibility. Asked whether Philip met the criteria of what she looked for in a partner, Linda said simply, “I feel that he is a good man and meet some of my requirements. I am a strange person, but he is very patient.”
Linda also admired Philip’s filial piety and admitted that she has already met his parents. “My parents have met all of my friends. He (Philip) also loves to bring his parents everywhere!” Since Linda was known to be a filial daughter, this was another common trait that the rumored couple shared.
Does Not Feel Pressured About Awards
Linda’s new TVB drama, Witness Insecurity <護花危情>, was met with good ratings results since its broadcast. Last week, Witness Insecurity averaged 31 points in ratings, peaking at 35 points. Asked whether she possessed confidence in winning awards in the upcoming TVB Anniversary Awards, Linda said that she supported hard-working Tavia Yeung (楊怡). Linda stated modestly, “I still have not performed well enough. There is still much room for improvement!”

Many relationships rumors are coming out. Linda might not admit the relationship because of TVB’s order. I wonder if it’s hindering her career.
Linda should ask ms. Lok to sign Philip for tvb and promote him as a new kung-fu siu sang. Then they could act as a couple in “A fistful of stances 2”.
Txb dun have any kung-fu siu sang at this moment. Philip can be the unique one.

Yeah, then the day after, someone uploaded proof that Linda had won the Female Favourite character award as voted by the audience and not Myolie, but somehow Myolie won instead of Linda. The evidence was removed almost straight away but since then I’ve really had doubts about how fair internally TVB actually and how the artists that aren’t the favourites of the directors and what not are actually treated by the company.

i think linda should stick with phillip. he’s good looking and a great bod. i love raymond a lot but he might be a playboy with the good looks, money and fame. girls jump to him. He is good for dating but phillip might be better for marriage.
Linda sounds like such a sweet, fillal, decent, down to earth good girl. I hope she finds a guy who appreciates her for who she is and treat her well.

Different reactions from the fans of each artist, I guess. There are different types of fans among a fandom, but the larger group will be the symbol for this fandom.
There are ppl who cant accept the fact their idol can be hated. It’s a sore to them to see anyone “hurt” their fragile idol. There are ppl who dun care. There are ppl who take the revenge on the haters’ idols. There are ppl who dun bother to support the idol, just like with their frds.

Linda does not need to be a TV Queen to be appreciated. I am not her fan, but I’m in the middle of Witness Insecurity(episode thirteen to be exact) and I’m suddenly appreciating her improvements :). I found something sincere in the way she’s carrying her character; and I like it.
Since WI has the potential to be highest rating series of the year, she might have something. It is 31 by now and last week is always higher than usual.
Fox, there is something that WI is lacking: “hype”. Linda may personally know some “inside” work too; sensing that she’s quick to name Tavia for the “throne”.
No matter what, I personally enjoy WI albeit the strong Law Ka Hor taste and TVB headshaking cliches’. There is something plainly pure and sweet in WI that keep me glued(besides my biased fascination to Bosco and growing fondness to Linda :P)
Last year Miss Koo only became famous in the end. If the rating is continuing high, it will have the hyper. 3K RPG dun shake TY’s name up. Still a chance there for Linda. Just that in week 1 WI won 3K for rating, just lose to the hyper among netizens. Week 2?
Im not a fan of WI and now is bored by certain parts in 3K. It is spending too many screetime on pointless side story. Yawn worthy. Maybe that’s why Im not LKH fan.

I doubt Linda performance can surpass Tavia in On Call. Despite high rating in WI, Linda performance are just so so. Even there are people (not me) criticize her looking having constipation.
It’s up to the word depend. If SSSS is a flop, it can drag her down or cause to the comment like she isnt main lead, etc. Before when 3K was hyped to say of anniversary series of last year, there are fans who wished that it will shake her up. These comments only vanished when the trailer is out and the series showed its true self as a low budgeted. Then putting too much hope on SSSS might cause to disappointment.
For Linda, she still has 6 eps onwards. YSSS only shaked Linda up in the last week. She still stands for a chance unless Txb is biased :p. Does this quote look familiar?

Beside MM , Tavia also hype up her popularity as Yu Jai. Her weibo followers and fb fans page also rocket up in sudden after On Call withdraw.
MM is kinda clearer. But good for her with that. Txb might nominate her with that if SSSS is aired this year and not sucessful.

Yup, when I first saw Linda, the word sweet look popped up. Overall Im still not a fan of her talents in either acting or singing (singing more). But she has the unique image on Txb, maybe the only competitor is Cilla Kung but Cilla is too childlike.
Myolie and Kate also stood out for me because they have own image that cant be mixed with anyone else. Although they 3 might have bad to decent acting, I feel pleasant to watch their unique vibe.
Linda is looking good in Witness Insecurity. I think that she is acting to make money, gain connections, and eventually move on to something more sustainable in the long term. She just seems normal and practical like that.
I know nothing about Philip Ng, but he is cute! I am not surprised with the praises, when has Linda ever said anything negative about anybody? The closest to not being positive she would get is to remain neutral. I would be happy if they are dating since I think people belong together.
Linda is a sweet and good girl and I’m glad Philip has similar values/characteristics like Linda.

Her acting is much better in Witness Insecurity. I wouldn’t say it’s amazing but she’s becoming a more solid actress. Her current role is preferable to the Ms. Koo character.
too bad i still haven’t have the time to catch up to her dramas, steven ma’s, raymond’s and tavia’s. i need more time. these dramas are popping out too quick. i wish linda all the best of luck!!! if she has found the one then go for it. don’t loose this chance Linda!
