Maggie Yu is the Ultimate Husband Stealer in “Wonder Women”

Wonder Women <多功能老婆> starring Miriam Yeung (楊千嬅) and Raymond Wong (黃浩然) has only been airing for two weeks, but the tensions between the characters have been escalating. In the first episode, Miriam encounters her husband Raymond’s first mistress, Joey (portrayed by Toby Chan 陳庭欣) at a spa in Japan. However’s Miriam’s biggest threat comes from female CEO Maggie Yu (于淼), who pulls out all stops to steal her husband.

Raymond leaves home to Beijing after encountering troubles in his business. Miriam and their young son wait patiently at home for him to return. Her friend Pakho Chau (周柏豪) decides to put the story into a music video, which goes viral.

When Raymond returns, Miriam is faced with Maggie who writes a $99 million dollar (HKD) check asking her to divorce her husband. Faced with the difficulty of his rising career, Raymond ultimately chooses to leave his family and follow Maggie back to Beijing.

Many viewers have been highly invested in the drama and praise the cast for their acting and bringing the scenes to life. After the recent episodes aired, viewers became more fascinated about who Maggie is. The 31-year-old actress entered the industry through Miss Chinese International 2012 as the contestant for Dalian. Many noticed her resemblance to Fan Bingbing (范冰冰). After hosting an entertainment news program in Mandarin, Maggie has slowly transitioned in the drama department. She has appeared in Ghost of Relativity <鬼同你OT>, My Lover from the Planet Meow <來自喵喵星的妳> , My Unfair Lady <不懂撒嬌的女人>, and Daddy Cool <逆緣>.

Through hard work and trying to watch local news and Hong Kong dramas , Maggie’s Cantonese has improved over the years. Wonder Women is her strongest performance to-date.
