Philip Keung Wins Award at Chicago South Asian Film Festival

Winning an Outstanding Performance award at the Chicago South Asian Film Festival (CSAFF) for his performance in crime-thriller Witness Out of the Blue <犯罪現場>, Philip Keung (姜皓文) will not be able to attend the film festival and accept the award in person due to schedule conflicts.

Gaining widespread recognition for his outstanding delivery as a transgender person in Tracey <翠絲>, Philip had already received accolades at last year’s CSAFF.

On winning an award again this year, Philip expressed, “I’m extremely honored and overjoyed. I’m happy that we’re able to share this film with people all around the world. I know this is a rare opportunity to share this with oversea viewers. This honor is a total surprise. Besides the award, Witness Out of the Blue has given me impossibilities, including being nominated for the Hong Kong Film Awards. This is unbelievable.”

Although he was supposed to fly to Chicago for the event, the actor had to cancel his flight last minute due to other work commitments and expressed his regrets on his absence.
