Raymond Cho on Working with Dicky Cheung

With The Learning Curve of a Warlord <大帥哥> airing its finale this Friday, the cast members hope ratings will peak. Working with Dicky Cheung (張衞健) for the first time, Raymond Cho (曹永廉) talked about his filming experience with the legendary actor.

Although Dicky’s character appeared arrogant and unlikable in the beginning of the series – viewers got to know the big-hearted leader’s true nature as the series progressed. Becoming a favorite among viewers, many were rooting for Dicky as he is currently trapped in jail and planning his escape.

Playing Dicky’s strategist in the series, Raymond talks about working with the actor. Raymond expressed, “His mind works really quickly and I don’t think I’ve met such an amazing artiste. Besides reciting lines by himself, he would also help his co-stars too – working with him was great. He takes good care of his co-workers as well; he would bring a big case of bananas and snacks every day as a treat. If you were to ask me about his biggest flaw – I could only say that he’s too serious.”

Besides talking about his co-star, Raymond also briefly mentioned his friendship with good friend Edwin Siu (蕭正楠). Although they fight like brothers, they always apologize to each other in the end. Raymond also revealed that it was all thanks to Edwin that they’re such good friends now. Apparently, Edwin initiated the conversations through texts at first and would ask Raymond how his day went every day.

Wives Vow to Get Revenge

Sisley Choi (蔡思貝), Vivien Yeow  (楊秀惠), and Zoie Tam (譚凱琪), who play Dicky’s wives in the drama, were recently seen in a photo trying to slap the villainous Tony Hung (洪永城). Vivien uploaded the photo on her Instagram account and wrote, “If this post gets over 50, 000 likes, Tony will allow us to slap him on live broadcast as revenge for Dicky!”

  1. Raymond Cho, Dicky & Zoie Tam were the only watchable ones for me.

Some of Dicky’s dialogue make me cringe, but it’s testament to his endurance & training when he can recite a zillion lines so easily with little effort.
