Rising stars Ricco Ng (吳偉豪) and Kalok Chow (周嘉洛) are given an opportunity to shine beside experienced artistes Alice Chan (陳煒), Roger Kwok (郭俊安) in upcoming TVB drama Return <回歸>. Filming for the drama will start in February and fans are excited to see Ricco and Kalok are promoted in leading roles.
Set against the backdrop of 1997, the drama follows Alice and Roger as a couple who owns a Hong Kong café restaurant. While the couple works hard to grow their business, they eventually file for a divorce and go their separate ways. Alice’s character would later move to China to establish her own restaurant enterprise while Roger remains in Hong Kong to continue to grow his restaurant.
Ricco and Kalok will play brothers but they get split apart following Alice and Roger’s divorce. Ricco follows Alice to start their new life in China while Kalok remains in Hong Kong with Roger. Fast forward to 25 years later, Ricco is now promoted to the CEO of his family business and bumps into Kalok on a business trip to Hong Kong. The lives of the two separate households are once again intertwined in a story that stretches across China to Hong Kong.
Speaking on the process of casting the rising stars in the drama, producer Lam Chi Wah (林志華) revealed, “There are many other rising stars in the drama. We casted [Ricco and Kalok] because they fit the roles. The character just returned from abroad, and Ricco is handsome and he also went to an international school. He has the ‘abroad’ aura around him.”
Although Ricco and Kalok will have their schedule full with filming the new drama, Lam Chi Wah shared that the two actors will still be able to continue filming long-running sitcom, Come Home Love: Lo and Behold <愛回家之開心速遞>, “There won’t be any problems as long as the scheduling is aligned. Many actors are shooting several films at the same time and there was no impact.”
