Roger Kwok Enjoys Luxurious Renovations at Home
Since last year’s Black Heart, White Soul <忠奸人> and Come On, Cousin <老表，你好 hea!>, TV King Roger Kwok (郭晉安) has not filmed any new television series. Attending a charity event yesterday, Roger revealed that he is currently taking a two-week break to spend time with his family and go on vacation in Thailand.
After his vacation, Roger and his family will move back to their home after an eight-month remodeling project. Sharing that the floor plan was luxurious, Roger said, “My brother is a hotel interior designer, so he designed my home to look like a hotel. It cost a few million dollars [HKD].”
When reporters teased that he will have to work harder to earn more money, Roger responded, “I was already working really hard to earn money in order to make this happen. Afterwards, I will focus entirely on filming to earn and save money.”
When asked whether he has encouraged frequent costar, Joey Meng (萬綺雯), to renew her contract with TVB, Roger said, “It’s such a pity. We talked about it before. I told her she could still work and I hope she’ll continue to film dramas!”
Since Roger often travels to Mainland China for work, he was asked to comment on the death of a 24-year-old mother in an elevator. Roger expressed his condolences to the family and said, “They really need to check the facilities. It’s horrific. The longest time I experienced being stuck in an elevator was one hour. Luckily, I was the only one in there at the time, so I just chatted with the building administrator!”
