Since his early career, Ron Ng Cheuk Hei has seduced numerous actresses. Ron allegedly pursued good “brother,” Raymond Lam Fung’s rumored romantic interest, Linda Chung Ka Yan, as well.
Perhaps pursuing Linda Chung alone was not enough. At the same time, Ron hooked up withChina ’s current hottest model, twenty-three year-old Viann Zhang Xin Yu, who possessed a 36F figure. Her popularity has increased quickly due to her resemblance to Fan Bing Bing.
During the filming of Pretty Maid <大丫鬟> in China , Ron met the curveaous Viann at a nightclub. At the time, Ron did not realize that Viann had a wealthy and powerful mainland boyfriend. Viann drove a luxury Maserati and lived in the prime location of Shanghai , at theChaoyang Apple Community Apartments. Allegedly, Ron was aware that Viann possessed a boyfriend. However, Viann told Ron that her boyfriend was a normal businessman. Later, Ron realized that he has underestimated the power and influence of Viann’s boyfriend.
Inside sources familiar with Ron’s situation said, “Ron and Viann grew more seriously involved. It was bad enough that Viann was cheating on her boyfriend, but Ron knew and he kept seeing her! Since Viann became more popular in China , she knew a lot of Hong Kong artists. Viann told her boyfriend that she was visiting friends in Hong Kong [while actually meeting up with Ron] during those trips. At first Viann’s boyfriend believed her.”

Normally driving a silver Audi, Ron rented a tinted-window seven-passenger car during Viann’s visit to Hong Kong . He drove his rental car to work to avoid attracting other people’s notice. On November 9th, Viann posted a photo of herself without make-up and dressed in casual clothes. In the photo, she sat on a sofa with a patterned pillow behind her. It turns out that Viann may have taken the photo at Ron’s house! Previously, Ron had posted a photo of his cat at home, who sat on the same sofa with the patterned pillow! Viann’s visit to Ron’s house was publicly exposed!
On November 6th, Viann was filming <宅男總動員> with William So Wing Hong and Kenny Chung Chun To in Shanghai . Passionately in love with Ron, Viann quickly flew to Hong Kong for a four-night rendezvous. To accommodate Ron, who will be filming a new series, Viann stayed at Ron’s apartment. Ron rented a car and hired a temporary driver to chauffeur Viann. The driver was very alert and successfully lost the paparazzi each time the car was followed.
Ron and Viann often exchanged comments on each others’ blogs. When Ron injured his hand earlier, Viann expressed her concern. After her rendezvous with Ron in Hong Kong , she posted on her blog, “Ron Ng is too handsome!” She added a red heart next to her comment.
In hindsight, Ron realized he brought a lot of trouble upon himself by dating Viann. Allegedly, Viann’s boyfriend may have told producers to block Ron’s opportunities in China . “Indulging in your lust is equivalent to hanging a knife upon your head” (色字头上一把刀), as Ron caused his own troubles and thwarted his own money-making opportunities.

Jayne: The photo of Viann Zhang was likely taken at Ron Ng’s apartment. The chances are high that it was the same couch and same pillow! Since she did not wear make-up and was dressed casually at his home, it also speaks volumes as to how “intimate” they were.
Ah, if this news about Ron dating Viann (while aware that she had a boyfriend) turns out to be true, it is very disappointing. Perhaps most beautiful models/ actresses do have boyfriends, so the pool of available single women is very low.

Men are known not to think straight when involved with beautiful women. This also applies to Ron. He didn’t give thoughts or he did but in the end, he gave way to his lust and so it seemed. I’m sure Ron chased after Viann cause of her busty body!!! He forgo his reputation(if he had any) and possibly career in China when he made move on a taken woman. And i believe the tabloid is true. There shouldn’t be an overnight stay at Ron’s house if they simply friends. When you in a relationship, you think twice before you spend a night at the opposite sex house. There will backlash or ridicule for his actions!

Adding my sympathy to Ron, just when he was making big strides in his career, too. But really, artistes’ personal life is no business of anybody but themselves.
Actually their personal life should be a business of everybody if it is immoral and illegal and just plain wrong. In Ron’s case, he is not married, she is single, why not? If it is true and if they’re stable, then he should admit it. It becomes an issue when everybody denies everything when there is something going on. Lying is not the best way.

I totally agree with Funn. If it is true than Ron should be admitting it since it is NOT good to lie because people will find out sooner or later. Ron is still single so I don’t see anything wrong with him dating Viann. But then again, I guess if she has a boyfriend then people will frown on that. However, in the circle(and in real life)people move from one person to another constantly since you are surrounded by attractive people all the time. Therefore, how can you resist that temptation??

And if their deeds are immoral, let their conscience deal with it, and as for ‘plain wrong’ deeds — whose standards? Anyway, unless their deeds are heinous crimes against humanity, I’ll maintain the stance that artistes’ personal life is none of my busines. Period!

As for what I think, eh I think he’s also similar to Raymond, and not thinking too much on dating at this point. But who knows, could be. If thinking about dating though, does anyone remember when he spoke about the type of girl he likes?
I know that what Ron does with his personal life is really none of my business but what he does does reflect on how I feel about him as a fan. Regardless of how handsome he is, if he is continuously plagued with these rumors then it would make me rethink why I am a fan of his in the first place. I don’t mind if he has a girlfriend, but please, have it with class. If the girl does have a boyfriend, that would simply means hands-off. I don’t care what temptation or lust he may have but he would need to think before he acts and what impact his actions could have on his career. Has he not learned alredy from his past mistakes? I think from a malesas perspective, to steal another male’s girl, regardless whether the girl falls for you or not is plain disrespect and that just shows what kind of character he possesses. I know he is human, but I think he should put all else aside and concentrate on his career, his acting has improved, but is not up to par with his other peers.
Agree with what most have mentioned here. It’s not really our business what his love life is and he’s still single, and we still don’t know what is true and what is not. If the girl truly has a boyfriend though, then it’s wrong of Ron to be seeing her, especially if the girl’s boyfriend is an influential and powerful person. If Ron’s career sinks again, which took him awhile to get back up in the first place, then the temptation and lust on his part was not worth his career going downhill. I really think if they are seeing each other and are close, their relationship is one of lust and physical attraction rather than true love. I think it’ll take time for it to become true love.
JC, thanks for pointing out hyn5’s post. It clarifies that Viann did not on Weibo that Ron was handsome. Hyn5 had done that and the tabloid writer misunderstood. This also answers Kidd’s question as to why Ron and Viann would publicly flaunt their relationship through Weibo.
In Ron’s interview with Mingpao, he admitted that he met Viann at a nightclub in China. And he said that she visited him at his apartment and the photo was taken there. Ron said that he had a party at home and there were other people there at the time.
So it is again a matter of what everyone wants to believe. Obviously, if Ron and Viann are truly dating each other under the circumstances mentioned in the tabloid, they will not admit it. Or the whole dating relationship could be made up.
In the back of my mind though, Viann seems like the type that Ron likes: curvy women. If Viann finds Ron attractive, would he be able to resist her? Agree with Aly that if it’s true, it’s based on lust and if not more, then it won’t last.
You guys should enlarge that weibo picture of hers that was supposedly taken when she’s in casual wear and ‘without makeup’. Look at her red lips, well defined eyebrows and eye shadows. Loool.
So, the conspiracy theory that Viann might be sleeping over at Ron’s place because she’s not wearing any make up when in Ron’s place is off. About that clothes. I only see a T shirt with a rather loose neckline. Whether that’s a casual wear or not is up to each individual’s standard. That might be her usual wear when she’s not doing a show or posting for cameras.

I really don’t think Ron is this type of person. This news is probably fake and made up. Reporters always make random bad stuff like this right when artists are getting famous or doing well. If the 2 of them were together, they would have been more carefull and not leave any suspitions. I totally laughed while reading through this whole news article!

@Funn Lim – a commitment is not established only at the husband/wife level but also at the girlfriend/boyfriend level. Unless there was non-exclusive clause in the relationship with Viann and her bf, then I feel that both parties, single male-committed female, should not sleep around. They have “whatever reason” to, but it’s not ethical. That is the issue I believe Kidd is pointing out.

This is absolutely well said. What I don’t think some people understand, is that there are ALL sorts of people in the world. Meaning that there are people, guys and girls a like with good morals and principles and lives not revolving around things like lust. And there are people who are the complete opposite.
WOW, everyone seems to be really interested in this piece of news. I think we should all just leave it open until there is some sort of “proof” or something that will confirm this news to be true. Otherwise, I don’t think everyone should be so hard on Ron since none of us knows what the true story is.
Also, with love… Honestly, lately with Barbie Hsu getting engaged to someone that she only knew for 20 days… I guess I know that “love” can happen and develop a lot faster than I used to think. I agree with Vivien and HeTieShou. I hope the majority of people know that the media is absolutely relentless in obscuring the truth. They would take simple pieces of information and turn it into something that’s completely untrue, or making up something entirely.
I don’t know Ron too well as a person, but as a star, the media does give us a glimpse into his life. And from this, I think that he is an honest and hardworking individual. One that has also been slandered by the media numerous times.

Since Ron is not very eloquent sometimes, he seems an easy target for these type of reports. Last year, the press made a big deal about him hooking up with a Chinese woman in PR while in the USA. She posted pics of hugging intimately with Ron and the tabloids took it from there. What was Ron’s response at the time?
Agree with Jess on the media part. They do like to take simple pieces of information and make the rest up. This in not only true in HK but in Taiwan as well. Arron Yan’s was reported to have been hospitalised for some embarrassing ailment (I forgot what) but the accompanying picture was an old picture of him in hospital for his knee injury.
Also agree with Vivien. She might just be visiting. The news report didn’t even say the girl spent the night but many assume the worst (look at the weibo picture, one can see that she’s not without make up, juts lighter make up).

Rumors like this is a part and parcel of being an artiste. It’s up to the artiste’s on how to handle with the pressure. Some rumors are true while some may be made up.
Some artistes openly get mad on a public medium such as weibo, some others take it as a grain of salt and injects a joke into the rumor, and other untypical reaction may be commenting that the media chose unflattering pics of them. LOL.
My take on the rumor is that the girl visiting doesn’t necessarily mean they’re “dating”. It can be a party as what Ron has said. Whether or not they are attracted to each other, that only them know 😛

Kidd, I meant in the last set of rumors when Ron’s photos with the Chinese American emerged in the USA. Many peopel assumed they had a fling and Ron was portrayed as a player once again.
Personally if he can act, I don’t care if he is a player. If both parties want to do it then it seems like a non-existing question. And so what if either already has partners? Besides that gut feeling something seems wrong, you would be hard-pressed to name exactly why its just so bad for an artist to be ‘cheating’ – they Act/entertain, they aren’t in the profession of being saintly.
I’d rather an actor be genuine in front of the tabloids than look like a robot or some sort of media-mogul-owned slave-idol money tree (yes I’m thinking the Raymond Lam).

The thing about Ron not having job opportunities in China is false because in the costume fitting of his latest series Ron himself mentioned that he turned down 2 mainland series to take part in Dwelling Happiness.
