Two days ago, Tony Leung (梁家輝), AngelababyEddie Peng (彭于晏), and William Feng (馮紹峰) attended a press conference for Stephen Fung’s (馮德倫) new steampunk action 3D film trilogy, Tai Chi 0 <太極> in Beijing.

A Huayi Brothers film, Tai Chi 0 is directed by Stephen Fung and produced by Chen Kuo Fu (陳國富). The film also stars Daniel Wu (吳彥祖), Shu Qi (舒淇), Taiwanese newcomer Guai Ka (怪咖), and Nikki Hsieh (謝欣穎).

Tai Chi O will be split into three separate films; the first film will be released on September 28th in mainland China, and the second will be released on October 26th. The third and last film is currently in production.

Stephen Fung Stays Silent About Shu Qi

Last week, Stephen Fung and Shu Qi were seen catching the same airplane flight to Tokyo, rekindling their on-and-off dating rumors. Stephen and Shu Qi have known each other for 15 years, in which they were allegedly interested in each other. However, due to timing and dating other people over the years, Stephen and Shu Qi’s romantic destiny did not develop fully. Regarding recent romantic rumors, both Stephen and Shu Qi declined to comment on the alleged romance.

Although Shu Qi also stars in Tai Chi 0, she was absent at the press conference. Stephen Fung also evaded questions concerning Shu Qi by limiting the press’ questions. Despite Stephen and Shu Qi’s efforts to stay silent, the press targeted Eddie Peng instead concerning Stephen and Shu Qi’s romance.

When asked why his friend, Shu Qi, was absent, Eddie said, “I don’t know why. I think she’s still in Japan! Right, Stephen?” Stephen immediately became stern and threatened, “You don’t want to do the third movie anymore, right?”

Shu Qi Joins Huayi for Stephen Fung?

According to Sina, Shu Qi plans to join Huayi Brothers after her contract with East Asia Entertainment ends this October. Also managed by Huayi Brothers, Stephen allegedly pulled the strings to invite Shu Qi to the same company.

Regarding these reports, Shu Qi explained, “It doesn’t matter which company I sign with. They’re all great companies! I’m living a pretty happy life right now!”

Other reports indicate that Huayi Brothers intend to help Shu Qi establish her own production studio, aiding her career expansion in mainland China.

Feeling neglected by Huayi Brothers, rumors say that Li Bingbing (李冰冰) is currently looking for another management company.
