William Chan Comments on Angelababy’s Romance with Huang Xiaoming
Although their relationship is well in the past, William Chan (陳偉霆) still has kind words for Angelababy (楊穎), and is genuinely happy that his former love has found true bliss.
William and Angelababy allegedly fell in love early in their careers, and were together for nearly five years before their break up in mid-2009. Shortly after, Angelababy met and began dating Mainland actor Huang Xiaoming (黃曉明), and William eventually found love with EEG label mate Charlene Choi (蔡卓妍).
While William and Charlene openly admitted to their relationship in 2010, Angelababy and Xiaoming have been ambiguous about their own. After four years of underground dating, the couple finally confirmed their romance this week via photos taken during a recent overseas trip. Deeply in love, Xiaoming also gifted his girlfriend a $2 million HKD Lamborghini on her birthday. His gesture prompted speculations that there may be wedding bells soon, a rumor further feuled by a trip photo showing Angelababy wearing what looks like an engagement ring. Some even suspect that the model may be pregnant, similar to the recent trend of celebrity shot-gun weddings.
As her former lover, William was asked to comment on these rumors at an event on March 4. Calling the pregnancy rumors a mere fabrication, William feels that Angelabay is too career-focused to consider a baby, and is happy that she has decided to make her relationship public. “It is a good thing that [they] have decided to publicly admit to dating, [it is] something to be happy about.”
Unlike the couple however, William prefers to keep his relationship with Charlene simple and sweet. “Everyone has his or her own style of living and dating. The most important thing is to be happy. Ah Sa and I prefer to be simple. We’re happy over just a meal of fish ball noodles.”

William doesn’t mind talking about it because it’s the past. Keeping his relationship simple and sweet with Charlene is a wise thing to do. Unlike the Huangelababy, giving her a Lambo on her birthday, how unreal,so it’s not love. It was the thing in his pants that did the thinking not his brain.
