Wong Cho Lam and Leanne Li’s Daughter Starts Nursery School

With Wong Cho Lam (王祖藍)busy with his new role as TVB’s Chief Creative Officer, Leanne Li (李亞男)isconcentrating on taking care of their two daughters, 2-year-old Gabrielle and 7-month-old Hayley.

Recently starting nursery school, Gabrielle is growing up fast. Already enrolled in an international class that teaches in both English and Mandarin, her current school also employs the Reggio Emilia Approach and the Early Years Foundation Stage. Charging 80,000 to 90,000 Chinese yuan annual tuition, the school also offers classes on language arts, performance, sports, and science.

While working in China, Cho Lam realized the importance of learning Mandarin. Gabrielle was encouraged to watch dubbed versions of popular Disney cartoons and sing the theme songs in Mandarin, which proved to be an effective way to learn the dialect.

Since Hong Kong education is known for its competitiveness, Leanne is already starting to look at different international schools when Gabrielle officially starts primary school. Currently visiting schools for more information, Leanne posted photos on her Instagram to document her journey as well. On the lookout for the best option for Gabrielle, one of the schools Leanne visited is an international school in Hong Kong that has a massive three-story library.

  1. Dude, these international schools are no joke. But the cost of tuition is insane. Like 50k a year USD. For the average student, this is impossible to afford.
