Michael Tse, Kate Tsui, and Eliza Sam at “Sniper Attack 2013” Costume Fitting
TVB’s upcoming action crime drama, Sniper Attack 2013 <神槍狙擊2013>, held its costume fitting press conference on December 6. The drama stars Eddie Cheung (張兆輝) as a SDU commander, Michael Tse (謝天華) as a wealthy heir, and Kate Tsui (徐子珊) as a police officer.
The surprise cast member, Eliza Sam (岑麗香), appeared at the press conference wearing a camouflage bush rag. She was later unveiled to be portraying a SDU sniper. To prepare for her role, Eliza underwent a strenuous gym training plan in the last few weeks. As one of Hong Kong’s most cherished “goddesses”, would Eliza have any sexy appearances in the drama? Eliza cried, “I never had a sexy image, and I also don’t think I’m a goddess!” She laughed, “I don’t think I will wear a swimsuit this time! Everyone, please let me go!”
Eliza will be portraying Hong Kong’s first female SDU sniper. She explained her character to be someone who is quiet, cool, and never smiles.
Also starring in the drama will be Kathy Chow (周海媚), who was absent at the press conference. Eddie explained that Kathy will portray his love interest. He also added that he will have a nude scene in the drama!
Miki Yeung (楊愛瑾) of the disbanded Cookies group, as well as Alice Chan (陳煒), will be portraying two of the many love interests of Michael Tse’s character. Also starring in the drama are William Chak (翟威廉) and BOY’Z Steven Cheung (張致恆), portraying SDU members.

Michael has been filming all-nighters for the CNY movie lately, hope he can get some rest before Sniper starts shooting.

I wouldn’t say Michael again this is like the second drama he filmed this year and he has no other tvb dramas line up to film. But I agree Michael is playing a cop again *sigh*

I actually liked Vincent in HAL, too bad he didn’t play a bigger part.
She looks too sweet to be SDU sniper. Don’t think she could look cool & serious for the role
She always looks very elegant, lady-like in her cop/crimes roles o_O I dont mind because she does have the looks, but in terms of her portraying a cop, it’s hard to believe that female-cops let their long hair down, style/put it into curls (or even have that much of a hair length) and wear heeled boots during work …(i.e. her character in Forensics 3)
*btw, not specifically saying female cop roles, just any action-pack character she plays.
I believe that user was talking about Eliza not Katr, Eliza is portraying the sniper while Kate is a member of the OCTB
I thought Kate was originally the sniper….seems like she’s not paired up with Michael this time I wasn’t really fond of their pairing in Relif of an Emissary anyways.
Do look forward to this series though, they make pretty good of the police genre productions.
Kate will probably still pair up w/ Michael b/c he’s the male lead.

Maybe but I don’t see how a cop and a villain of the story start a love relationship, it happens but I just think that maybe Kate might be paired up with someone else or no one at all. Not much info is given about her character yet. It doesn’t seem like she’ll be much of a prominent character since there’s Kathy and Alice
You will definitely not see Eliza run with her sniper rifle, accessories, case and ammo getting into position. It is about 20 pounds for a police sniper rifle versus a heavier but longer range and accuracy military sniper rifle. Their rifle is just like their baby, meticulous care is afforded everytime. Each sniper trains with thir weapon and knows the “zero” of their weapon so not just any sniper can pickup someone else’s sniper rifle and make an instant kill from long distance. Military sniper can kill targets 1.25-2.5 km away versus police snipers generally between 800m – 1km.
Eliza’s small frame just does not look right portraying a sniper. She can not hold and steady a rifle for long periods of time as strong upper body strength is required unless she is using a bipod in a prone position. I don’t think you will see that in the series.
Good to hear that! Totally unfair that Kathy and Alice are merely love interests of the male leads while Eliza gets to be a sniper.
Alice is a villain in this so it’s not just a love interest role not much info is given about Kathy yet

Agreed as long as he has a short hair cut. Joe Ma can be a sniper bcuz he has the build and the background but I know he does not want to play a supporting role but maybe in a guest role.

This drama is very promising as I love to watch police action dramas and to top it off, the cast is filled with people I like. Can’t wait. Hopefully it’s not a flop.

Brace for it. Looks like we’ll be seeing a lot of Eliza Sam -_-, especially next year. Though, this drama will look interesting to watch.

How would she improve if TVB doesn’t give her a chance? It’s time they develop new stars because the current female leads may go to film in China once their contracts are over.
