TVB series, The Mysteries of Love <談情說案> was the highest rated show last week, peaking at 36 points. Tavia Yeung Yi felt very happy about the series’ performance and noted that she will have a celebratory dinner with the cast later. Despite earlier claims that The Mysteries of Love plagiarized Japanese drama, Detective Galileo, the series still managed to pull in high ratings. Tavia noted that the ratings performance demonstrated that the audience’s support and proved that the two series were different.

In episode thirteen of The Mysteries of Love, there was a scene where Raymond Lam Fung held Tavia’s hand while on a romantic date. In that scene, there was an obvious protrusion in Raymond’s pants. Tavia smiled and said that the pants Raymond wore at the time were too tight and that he did not have an [accidental arousal]. “This is something that affects a man’s dignity. On that day, the weather was very hot, thus making the fabric cling to the body more.” Tavia said that Raymond absolutely did not have an “accident” during filming.

In speaking with Takungpao, Raymond Lam also clarified that the pants he wore in The Mysteries of Love were too tight. Another pair of pants were unavailable on the set at the time. He almost could not button the pants, thus their tightness gave the audience a misconception.

Jayne: Oh gosh, this kind of news really emphasizes Raymond’s crotch size! If the pants were so small, couldn’t they film him from the waist up? If the problem was due to the pants, then his protrusion was obvious to everyone on the set at the time.
