[Beauty] Charmaine, Ali, Nancy, and Grace Share Their Skincare Secrets

Stepping into fall and winter, the temperature is beginning to drop. With such a transition, there is a possibility for dry and itchy skin. Ali Lee (李佳芯), Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼), Grace Wong (王君馨), and Nancy Wu (胡定欣) share their skincare secrets for the cold weather to come.

Grace Wong

For Grace, she relies heavily on doing a face mask each day. From her Instagram posts, she is definitely committed to her routine and making sure she does not miss a day. Face masks are important for replenishing lost moisture in the skin. She also addresses the importance of cleansing the skin, in which she uses charcoal masks to take out any impurities and dirt.

Nancy Wu

For Nancy, she believes in at-home gentle face massages with her fists to exercise the cheeks, nose, and forehead. During the cold weather, blood circulation is slower and it is harder for the skin to absorb skincare products. Massaging the face can improve product absorption and prevent bloating and sagginess.

Ali Lee

For Ali, she primarily focuses around her eyes because the skin there is most fragile. With the change in weather, the eyes experience the change first so it is easy to become dry and itchy. Aside from using moisturizing eye creams to protect her skin, Ali also stresses the importance of eye masks and serums to really show the skin some love.

Charmaine Sheh

Aside from skincare products and face masks, it is important to drink lots of water to prevent dryness and itchiness. It is common to hear that you should drink at least 8 cups of water each day, but remember to drink more during the cold days.

For Charmaine, aside from water, she likes to make a variety of homemade juices for skin repair and toxin removal. She shares that blending a ¾ cup of water add a cup of spinach, half a cucumber, 2 sticks of celery, a green apple, half a ginger, and lemon juice creates the perfect juice for cleansing and toxin removal.

  1. They forgot to mention the hundreds of thousands of dollars they spend getting shots, facials, professional skin care treatments and etc that us commoners will never be able to afford and achieve..

you can pretty much tell when someone had botox or done something. it just doesn’t look natural. these actresses aren’t exactly that old yet except for charmine which i think her age began to show in her early 30s but she looks great for her age now. i think getting closer to 40 is when your age really starts to show for most people. given that you have a healthy life style, avoid sun, you could look whole lot younger w/o the expense treatments.

      1. @m0m0 Agree.

All those over priced heavily fragranced face masks and creams (though admittedly fun) are mostly gimmicks and only serve to provide temporary, superficial results, if any. In some cases, the chemicals and fragrances can often irritate the skin or cause an allergic reaction down the line.

Best way to care for your skin is to consume healthy foods, and slather on that sunscreen and non-scented moisturizer.
