Tiffany Lau Reveals Fitness Routine

With The Invisibles <隱形戰隊> currently airing, Tiffany Lau’s (劉穎鏇) fit figure stuns as she performs her fight scenes. Many believe that the 25-year-old actress has what it takes to become an action star.

Even though Tiffany has always been fit, she still had to undergo rigorous exercising prior to filming. “Joel Chan (陳山聰) and I go to the same gym, but we have different trainers. Prior to filming, I went to the gym a minimum of five times every week. If I couldn’t go to the gym that day, I would run for one hour and 45 minutes – roughly 5,000 to 6,000 kilometers.”

As the only woman on the Tactical Forces Team, Tiffany felt the pressure to gain muscle to convincingly portray her character. “The gear and equipment are already 20 pounds…I think it’s important for character to be strong and muscular.”

Aside from her intense workouts, Tiffany had to take two scoops of protein powder with drinks, and eat plenty of chicken breast, yams, and eggs. Although she does have cheat days, Tiffany tried her best to limit her sugar intake despite having a sweet tooth for ice cream.

Filming With Real Guns and Endless Bruises

Filming with real handguns in The Invisibles, the cast trained with firearms professionals on set to ensure all safety precautions were taken. Tiffany said she even practiced with an instructor prior to filming.

However, bruises and injuries are often inevitable during action scenes despite the most careful precautions. Tiffany would discover new injuries after every fight scene, unfortunately they were only minor.

  1. Hilarious that they have Tiffany always wearing a short top whenever she’s not in uniform, she doesn’t really have a muscular frame though especially in the arms, doesn’t show imo. She does look cute with the braids though.

  2. Love to see more action actress… at least someone who can do their own stunts/fight scene and not just elegantly flying around in pretty dresses in prefect makeup…
Just a thought, is there a similar action Mainland Chinese actress? I cannot recall….
