Him Law Supports Tavia Yeung As TV Queen
Him Law (羅仲謙) and Tavia Yeung’s (楊怡) relationship is an open secret within the entertainment industry. At the latest promotional event for The Hippocratic Crush 2 <On Call 36小時II>, the two did not appear awkward around each other and posed for press photos. Speaking of this year’s TV queen battle, Him stood in front of Tavia’s large promotional photo and gave a thumbs-up, showing support for his girlfriend.
The cast was challenged to a series of fitness activities. The men had to do push-ups to show their strength. Him appeared to slack off, so the producer made him complete the push-ups on one hand. Tavia was told to be the judge, but instead helped Him and announced he did not have to do it anymore.
Tavia wore a sweater-like dress and scarf, and was constantly seen wiping away sweat. When interviewed, she said she never thought the air conditioner would be so weak. Asked why Him was not helping Tavia cool down, he expressed, “She’s a very independent woman!” Him further explained Tavia had not been deliberately helping him earlier, and was just trying to quicken the process so the activity would not take up too much time. Tavia added, “If the air conditioner was stronger, I would’ve asked him to do more!”
When Tavia took photos with surrounding fans, Him smiled and kept his distance. He explained, “I was afraid the fans wouldn’t like it. I’m quite big and I didn’t want to block them.” Both Him and Tavia expressed they will not have time to watch the first episode of The Hippocratic Crush 2, but will catch it later online.
Kenneth Ma (馬國明) flew to Hong Kong to attend the promotional event in the midst of filming Jackie Chan’s (成龍) movie, Fate is a Game <緣來是遊戲>, in mainland China. He revealed the project is not yet complete, but should be done before the TVB Anniversary Gala. Kenneth is happy to be earning RMB although he takes on the role of a supporting actor in the film. He hopes for more chances in mainland China, but still enjoys Hong Kong as his main base.
Besides Kenneth, this year’s strong TV King contenders include Chilam Cheung (張智霖) and Dayo Wong (黃子華). Speaking of his own chances, Kenneth expressed, “It’s okay, I’ll take things easily. I’ve tried my best, and I’m happy to be competing with veterans. I participated in both Triumph in the Skies 2 <衝上雲霄ll> as well as The Hippocratic Crush 2, so I’m happy if they’re well-received.”

Linda’s role on bk doesn’t even stand out and her acting is not up to tv queen quality. Seriously, she doesn’t have the chance to be this year’s tv queen
Before On Call 2 air. it was told that Linda & Kate were hot favorite for BA, but right now the media focus on Linda & Tavia.
Giving Kate a hype for TV Queen is a big joke. From some clips I’ve watched of her acting it’s so pretentius as if she only cares about being a pageant queen in her dramas.
Don’t get me started on Linda it’s a mystery to many why Linda receives so much hype for TV Queen with her barfworthy performance as Rachel! Some of us are speculating her company pulling connections with the HK press to brainwash audience.
I think Linda & Tavia have a higher chance because Kate’s drama rating is quite low.
TY and Linda aren’t in high rated series, too. Kate’s one is 26-27, same to Brother Keeper. The high rated series contains Myolie and Fala as female lead aka TITS 2.
if the point is ratings than myolie should be the deserving winner! fala was criticized a lot for her bad acting in triumph2 while myolie was praised!

Because you bring the rating out and you forgot that BK’s rating isn’t high at all. For OC2, let’s see its rating. Just tat up to this moment, TITS 2 is the only over 30 one.
Btw, although I haven’t watched OC (and OC2, too), I blv OC2 has to depend on the script to be liked or not because I have no faith in Ma Ming’s acting, nor TY. Lawrence Ng said tat he won’t have much screentime, so he can’t save the acting side.

Every TVB siu sang(Raymond, Bosco) sucks except Ruco. The veterans are also either OTT(Wayne, Roger) or constipating or plain suck(Moses). Every year I can only bring myself to watch Ruco’s series since he’s shown his talents since his ATV days. I tried to watch Will Power but the phoniness and pretentiousness in Moses and Wayne’s eyes and expression and Jason Chan’s disastrous acting made me quit fast.
I’m happy Michael Tse left because he’s also a very bad actor who only rides on his one hit fame as Laughing. I brought myself to watch the first movie and almost barf myself at the pretentiousness of Michael Tse and Francis Ng’s acting. Which by the way Francis Ng continue his pretentious and constipating face acting in the overly rated TITS2.
I can’t comment on Kenneth but the news I’ve read of him are that he’s a good boy and a true gentleman. I’ve also heard great stuff about Hippocratic Crush the series so I’ll save a soft spot for Kenneth since he sounds like a nice human being.
I still support Ruco for TV King, Kristal for TV Queen. I don’t think Tavia has what it takes to be a double TV Queen in a row. After watching TOT, her acting is a way lower level than Ruco. It’s a shame that it’s much easier for actresses to win the TV Queen because of pathetically low competition compared to the higher competition for TV King with many veterans pulling their connections. It was never about acting or Ruco would’ve won every year.

yes tvb awards was never about acting. wayne wouldn’t won last year if it’s based on acting but kenneth would’ve won instead, but tvb favouritism robbed kenneth from his deserving award and i don’t wish him to be robbed again this year.
First of all, Micheal Tse wasn’t one hit fame as Laughing. In fact, his acting was recognized long ago with Ah Man in La Femme Desperando in 2006 time. Also a lot of his roles are liked and praised by the audience. Laughing was the most liked role of him in recent time, but it isn’t his one and only hit. And even if it’s his only hit, it’s better to have a hit than no hit.
Secondly, it’s kind of funny when you make your speech like acting is important to you, then end up with something you think “nice human being” is the criteria.
Your and some other Ruco fans’ overpraised words to Ruco while bashing others are making you guys the “god” fans.
Of course, the model example of “god” fan is Selfiwu, who is even hated by Ma Ming fans.

Michael is definitely not a bad actor and a majority of those who dislike him only pay attention to his Laughing character but not the other roles he has done.
Sure Kenneth may be a nice human being but that has nothing to do with his acting abilities and no not every leading actor “sucks” besides Ruco, he is just one of the remaining talented ones out of a few of them.

If Michael was so great before Laughing Gor, he would’ve been talked for his talent but nae, yadda. Doesn’t that shown enough that his talent isn’t enough to shine before he landed the one hit wonder character?
It’s up to personal matter to judge an artiste by whatever reason there is, and name me why these TVB siu sangs are not getting praises like Ruco if they don’t suck? The last time I watched Raymond and Bosco was in Moonlight Resonance and their immature acting made me almost throw up! Same goes to Linda Chung and Tavia Yeung and Moses. I couldn’t care less about them since after that horrendous display of ‘talents’ in a horrendous scripted drama. I can’t even finish that highest rated TVB series because it was so bad and rather watch old ATV series with Ruco and Amy Chan. If not for Ruco’s acting I wouldn’t care at all about TVB.

Your comment seems a bit too brash and honestly I’m not exactly a fan of Michael but that doesn’t mean I’m going to deny he has any talent. Just because he never got praises before his Laughing character can only mean he was underrated same as Ruco…did anybody ever recognized him before The Other Truth? I don’t think so either, each actor had their own most notable character and Laughing was one of Michael’s and I don’t see why you should belittle him when Ruco was pretty much in the same position he was before he was cast in that series that made him famous 2 years ago.
The last series you saw of Bosco and Raymond was 5 years ago…a lot happened there my friend. Some got worst and some got better and the ones you aren’t in favor of are a lot more talented than they were since you last saw them.

What if I say I just watched Linda Chung in BK and she isn’t anymore lacking talent than she did 5 years ago if not getting worse? I can’t stand her in BK to be honest, I have a feeling she’s only receiving favours and opportunities because she looks sweet.

I wanna tell you that: Ruco is indeed has smaller fanbase in Hongkong than other siu sangs, does it mean he is suck then he can’t capture the heart of the fans? By your logic, it is. Btw, have to note that you are not the only one watch Txb series only for favourite artists. Most of ppl here are so except the Txb fans. So it isn’t an unique thing if you only watch series for Ruco. Nobody force you to watch anything, all by yourself. But if you really care for Ruco, what you are doing is hurting him and his image.

You got it wrong there, I don’t have time to go out of my way to purposely pick on Michael Tse to a petty reason of bringing up Ruco. I don’t need this petty thing since Ruco’s talent is more than enough to speak for himself, but it is the shady practices of TVB in promoting stars and the crappy series that makes me voice out.
Don’t make it like Michael share the same hardness like Ruco, Ruco has always been noticed for his talents since his younger days at ATV and that takes a lot since ATV isn’t a high rated station and rarely produce dramas. Michael was promoted to the sky after his one hit Laughing Gor wonder, while Ruco was frozen to do filler comedies after he helped TVB making TOT a big hit.
That’s it, I’m done with this word feuding against TVB fans who will clearly keep coming back to support TVB and the promoted stars of TVB.

Here is the hard way of Michael Tse: Michael Tse graduated from TVB’s Dance Training Class and worked with TVB as a dancer for five years. He gained success with his role in Young and Dangerous, but when he signed with Txb in 1995, he always have supporting roles. Only after the successful La Femme Desperando and his victory with Strictly go dancing, he has leading role. 2 years after getting leading roles, he met the hit of Laughing Gor but only has Best supporting award.
I can give you a list of few hits Michael Tse has:
– Young and Dangerous
– Virtues of Harmony
– Legal Entanglement
– La Femme Desperado
– The Family Link
– E.U.
– Lives of Omission
TOT was never a big hit, if you check the year it was in. If counting TOT as a big hit, you can have a long list of hit of Michael Tse or anyone else you’ve listed. TOT is only the hit for Ruco to be recognized.

Yes, Ruco was in the 7th acting class. He was 2 years with TVB and then went out for music, but he was not successful. Then he joined ATV for 6 yrs before returning back to TVB.
In comparing to Raymond (13th), Kenneth(14th), and Tavia (13th), Ruco is their senior.
Ruco, Kenneth, and Micheal are the same for me because they only shine in 1 particular character such as Ruco in TOT, Kenneth in On Call, and Michael in Lives of Omission. Besides that, no audiences remember their other characters.
Fox, according to Jaynestar’s old article, TOT ranked 5th in 2011, not too shabby a ranking.
I don’t want to prolong the stupid argument but please stop assuming. Of course I know clearly that Ruco started with TVB and in fact graduated from 1994 Acting Class, but TVB only gave him small roles. He was in A Kindred Spirit too, one of the better TVB sitcoms before TVB went downhill, but all are small roles, but maybe that’s expected since he was so young and TVB had lots of talents back then, unlike the 2000s where it is so easy for young newbies to get promoted without talent and only with looks.

On Call 36 Hours II has just aired for one week, and I can say that Tavia definitely has it to win Best Actress this year! Her character is outshining the other actresses this year! Very likeable and great acting!

I really hope Tavia will win TV Queen again this year eventhough it’s quite unlikely.. TVB shouldn’t base TV Queen on ratings of a series. An actor/actress’ performance should be prioritized instead.
