Although Fala Chen’s (陳法拉) management contract with TVB had expired in May, she is still on good terms with the company. Fala will be taking a class in New York this summer and exploring other filming opportunities.
Earlier, Fala was spotted filming in Gordon Chan’s (陳嘉上) new two-installment horror film, Tales From The Dark 1 & 2 <迷離夜>, <奇幻夜>. The horror film boasts an impressive star-studded cast, including, Tony Leung Ka Fai (梁家輝), Simon Yam (任達華), and Gordon Lam (林家棟).
Fala Visits Psychologist
The cast attended a promotional event for the two upcoming movies and garnered a large number of audience members. Some crew members were dressed up in ghost-like costumes with painted faces, causing a lively atmosphere for everyone. Fala even took off her high heels to hit the Chinese paper voodoo dolls.
In order to be immersed in character, Fala went to see a psychologist to learn more about her role and how to accurately portray her character as an abnormal girl. She even spent the night alone at the production studio and said, “I’m supposed to be cutting people in the movie, so I went to the supermarket to watch workers cut fish as practice. When I went to the psychologist, he didn’t believe me at first when I told him it was for research, and he kept telling me to relax!”
Gordon and Fala will also have an intense love story in Tales From The Dark. When the reporters asked if there would be a bed scene to accompany the love story, Gordon laughed, “Love doesn’t necessarily have to be on the bed!”
Fala expressed that she will be returning to the United States next week for her studies and that she would try her best to accommodate for the promotional events when the movie premieres in Hong Kong.
